Description
Le coupe-tuile professionnel Wishbone de QEP possède une poignée Clear View et une barre de rupture magnétique qui remonte instantanément, permettant à l'utilisateur de bien voir la molette et le carreau lors de la coupe. Cette conception unique élimine tout élément de doute pour effectuer des coupes parfaites. Chaque coupe-tuile est équipé d'un rail double en acier, d'une molette remplaçable de 22 mm en carbure de tungstène et d'un guide de mesure réglable pour effectuer des coupes répétées et précises. De plus, le chariot sur roulement à billes garantit un striage en douceur afin de réaliser des coupes plus nettes. Un coussinet très épais fournit une plateforme antidérapante et stable pour les carreaux, et des extensions latérales permettent de soutenir des tuiles plus larges.

When I am cutting 5/16 porcelain tile, it breaks corners on each side of the score line What am I doing wrong
Flip the Breaker Bar up. Then place the cutting wheel on the rear edge of the tile. Then, while applying medium pressure, slide the wheel forward the full length of the tile, scoring the tile surface glaze as the handle is pushed forward. It is important to make one continuous motion, scoring the surface only once per tile. After scoring, and without moving the tile, flip the breaker bar down. Position the handle so that the breaker foot is slightly in from the front edge of the tile and front stop. Apply increasing pressure on the handle until the tile snaps along the score line. Replace the carbide scoring wheel when dull after repeated use.

Will this cut a 18” tile diagonally which is 25 1/4”
The cutting bed is only 24 3/4" so will not diagonally cut your 18" tile. Other than that it's a great tile cutter.

Does this cut glass tiles too?
This tile cutter is designed for scoring a tile surface glaze, but not for glass tile. I would suggest a portable tile cutter or wet saw with the correct blade designed for glass or glass tile nippers for a small job.

Does this cutter do angled cuts?
Yes, this cutter will handle angled cuts up to 18" diagonally, 1/2" thick. The cutting guide can be adjusted to the desired angle and locked in place. Thanks for choosing QEP.

Complete garbage
Tried 2 of these. Both terrible. Ruined 3x its price in tile. Rented a different brand and had no problems. The magnet fell out of QEP cutter #2 right out of the box. No hope in rip cutting 24" at all. Breaks off in a J shape 3"4 down. Does it in cross cuts alot to and almost always chipped corners. Terrible. Again, another brand didnt do this. Of course this review wont make the site.None of my negative reviews ever do.

Worked very well for the tile that I used
I got this a week ago to re tile my bathroom. I purchased 12" x 24" tiles and needed something which could handle the job. Im almost done the job and I could have done the job without this as i already have an angle grinder with the proper blade to cut these type of tiles, however this gets the job done on straight cuts in about one tenth the time so Im happy I bought this. After reading the one bad review on this product I thought I might be returning it, but this tool is a keeper! :o)

Very happy with this purchase
After becoming somewhat frustrated with my wet saw, I decided to give this product a try since I have a large bathroom remodel coming up.
Needless to say, this product performed very well. Quite easy to use and very easy to snap tiles. The cuts are clean and only require minimal sanding.
This will definitely be my goto for tile work instead of the wet saw.

Great addition to tool collection
Purchased this product to accompany my wet tile saw and angle grinder with diamond blade. Convenient tool as you can use inside and make quick cuts with ease up to 24”. The only problem with tile snap is that you can’t cut cut off an inch or two (example: you need 10” from a 12” tile you may have difficulty making this cut with tile snap) but that’s where the wet saw or angle grinder can come into play. Overall amazing tool that saves time and headaches of going in and out of house for cuts.
Overall great product.

Tout est dans le look, pas dans la finition du prd
J'ai acheté ce produit ce mois-ci. J'étais content d'avoir trouvé à un bon prix, mais tout de même à $130 plus taxes. Je m'attendais a une meilleure finition du produit et surtout pas d'y trouver un défaut de conception. Il y a une perte de 2 mm entre l'équerre et le levier du guide d'angle (pour les coupes en long). Cela ne semble pas énorme, mais cela fait toute une différence dans le rendu final. Svp corrigez-moi si je me trompe.

Works well
At present, I have only used this cutter on porcelain tiles. It's ready to go right out of the box. Scoring is easy and the breaking mechanism is simple and works well. Nice to be able to cut tile quickly and without all the noise, dust and water all over the place. I'm glad I tried it. Got a reasonable deal on it as Lowe's had it on sale. Only a few down sides that I've noticed so far. 1. It doesn't always cut perfectly clean; it's certainly close, but in some areas I would have liked the break to be a bit cleaner. 2. The tile you are cutting needs to be at least a couple of inches wide or the breaking mechanism won't be able to break it properly (eg. Can't shave off a little sliver). 3. It can't cut mosaic tiles that come in sheets or if you need to notch a tile for a corner; it's best for a full straight cut on single tiles. All in all it's a good purchase, but it can't do everything; you'll still need another type of cutter to be able to do all the cutting you'll need to do on regular jobs.

Do NOT recommend using for 6" x 24" tile
We attempted to use this tile cutter to cut 6" x 24" tile. We followed the instructions carefully, and after reading the reviews, we made sure that our cuts had at least 2-3 inches on either side. Still, 50% of our tiles broke in half and were completely wasted. The other half ended up as shown in the picture, and the cuts had to be completed with a grinder. This tool may work with ok12" tile or smaller but I certainly wouldn't recommend using it for 24".
