Great Trimmer-leaving as completely behind
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this trimmer after initially purchasing the next model down. I returned that trimmer for this one because the next model down extends line every time you stop/start the motor which in my opinion is a huge waste. This model has the bump feed like every gas trimmer. I love this trimmer so far and it's an excellent value since you also receive a 4mah battery. My only complaint is that I feel like the low speed mode is almost useless, what is odd is that the lower model's low mode was great, I could almost exclusively use that mode on that trimmer. Also a bonus that this one has a brushless motor.

Great Residential Trimmer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this trimmer for about three weeks and am very happy with it. With one fully charged battery I can trim my entire 1/3 acre property, edge the driveway and sidewalk, and use my Craftsman V20 blower to clear the clippings from the driveway and sidewalk. The one thing I don’t like are the ergonomics of the straight chassis. I think it would be a much more comfortable machine to run if it had a curved chassis which should be super easy to design since there is no driveshaft. That aside, great machine for in-town residential usage.

Low Battery Life
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this trimmer today 5/5/19 and i am definently not impressed with the 45 minute run time claim as stated on the box. i used the trimmer on low speed along a chain link fence line and was able to trim for 20 minutes and completed only half of my backyard. I charged the battery as recommended and used the trimmer until it started to pitter out under a small workload because i know these batteries don't last when they are run dead. i plan on giving it another try tomorrow since my yard is now unfinished which really bugs me BTW. i hope a second full charge will wake up the battery.

Happy, Happy, Happy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used all types and grades of string trimmers over the years and for maintaining my 3/4 acre yard with edging a patio, drive, sidewalks surrounding the house, and trimming the fence around the near half acre back yard - this cordless string trimmer does a fantastic job. The 4 Ah battery is the key. I was concerned that the 20 volt version would not have enough power but it has more than enough for residential use in the “LO” setting. When I realized I had not used the “HI” speed I ventured outside of the fence and in “HI” it took out everything including small honeysuckle brush. I am very happy with this purchase and how it performs! Now to go get the blower!!

works great
Got this last weekend and have already used it multiple times. Plenty of power and the battery lasts more than long enough to go around my entire house, shed, garden, trees, and kids play set. I usually mix between high and low.
I chose this unit over the two cheaper 20v units because this one allows you to take the head off the unit and isnt perminitely attached like the other two. I figured that way if the head were to ever break it would be a lot easier to fix and possibly even find an after market head for quick loading.
Best purchase ever as I no longer have to worry about mixing gas (or buying pre-mixed) or trying to start a gas unit (i always find that they work great for a couple of months but after that it gets harder to start them). Its as simple as plug in the batters and go.

Battery lasts a long time!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was honestly blown away by how well this trimmer did. Battery said it would last up to 45 minutes and I think it lasted at least an hour. I have about 1 1/4 acres with a small ranch and two decent hills. I was able to trim all around the house and driveway (which is at least 400 feet) and then down by the main road I have a bank that is probably 350 feet by 10 and I was able to do about 3/4 of that on one charge then I was able to finish that bank, trim around 4 trees, and do another steep bank that I have in front of the house that is probably 50 feet by 15 feet on another charge. Trimmer does not bog down in low and the easy feed works great!

Outstanding run time, quiet and lighter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of days ago. After charging the battery I started to work on trimming up around the trees and driveway on my five acres. The battery lasted almost an hour on low, it just about outlasted me! I had mowed first so I was only trimming in the areas I couldn't get with the mower such close to the trees and the like. The battery charges quickly. I haven't had a reason yet to use it on high power so I can't comment on how long the battery will last on high. The trimmer is quiet and when wearing hearing protection you can't even hear it. Its also lighter than my gas trimmer which means I don't tire as often. I also like that it doesn't have the vibration that my gas trimmer has. I'm very satisfied!!

Highly impressed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially got the lower model Craftsman trimmer...returned it and got this one. I'm very happy. This thing rips! Much stronger motor and double string puck! It's much stronger than the gas one i had been using for years. The collapsible shaft is nice for storage, and the small battery makes it light and easy to use... I'd highly recommend this one. The only issue i have is, I don't know why they put such small shields on them... It could use a bigger debris guard/shield
