Way too thick, hard to spread
I bought this cement to install some laminate to the bottom of a cabinet made with prefinished birch plywood. I sanded the plywood first to take off the clearcoat on the plywood and wiped off the dust with a damp rag and let it dry well. When I went to apply the glue with a foam brush it went on very thick and was hard to spread out. When I tried to spread out the lumpy parts (about 1 min after first applied) the brush stick to the those parts and pulled off the drying cement and made it clump up. I found you needed to always work with a wet brush and work very fast or else I had this problem. Bottom line is it was way too thick and dried way too fast. It was a bit easier to use on the laminate as the laminate is more porous and almost has grooves in it made to accept the glue. Still way too thick though and very hard put on a reasonable not so thick coat. Perhaps it was old stock and partially dried out or quality issues. I have used other contact cements, even an old half used can and not had these problems. I will try something else the next time.
