Super quiet. Very heavy. Be safe and get a friend to help with the installation. I recommend it since it is so quiet that you can let it work when you sleep. Received and installed spring 2023

Quiet to sleep at night
This unit is much quieter than others. The fan does not make it hard to hear your TV like other units. Nice and cool too. Minor cosmetic denting on the back but not affecting perfromance.

Excellent achats
J'ai acheté ce climatiseur il y a 4 mois et c'est le meilleure investissement que j'ai fait, Très silencieux comme décrit. Au début il y as des petits bruits de cliquement mais au bout de quelques temps tout se règle, sommes tout je suis très satisfait.

Very quite unit
I am very hard person to please. I bought this unit before summer. It is super quite on low and the cold air is amazing. Love the features. I wish I could buy another one. If you want a quite unit this is it. 100% satisfied. Beats all the other units i tried hands down

Excellent All-around GREE Brand
GREE is a quality major brand name for A/C (apparently). They also own Tosot brand.
This 8000 btu window box air conditioner does a great job so far, I'm very pleased with my purchase, though a little too pricey. Heavy and large, 60 lbs.
It is relatively quiet when compared to standard window box A/C. Apparently the quieter models are better as there is less vibration and so they even last longer.
Nice clean design, looks good and modern than most other box A/C.
Placed it in my living room window, horizontal slider, therefore I did not require the included side accordion panels, but I needed a custom cut wood panel for above the A/C portion. I used the thick NON-ADHESIVE regular foam strip for the sides and underneath.
The A/C also required a wood block support outside so it tilts outside for water drainage. My 750 sq ft apartment feels very comfortable during high humidity heat wave, I even feel it far away in my bedroom.You can choose to unscrew the drain plug to have the water drain out completely onto ground or as GREE recommends: to leave the plug hole installed and let the water stay in the reservoir as the A/C uses that water to splash and cool the system, making it more efficient and longer life , apparently. You do hear slight water-splashing-around sound with the recommended method, not a big deal for me.
I don't like the cheap standard included grey thin strip foam with adhesive liner that they suggest you use..DON'T use it, as it breaks apart instantly in your hands and then smears and sticks to your hands and window edge requiring a solvent like rubbing alcohol to remove the gooey adhesive mixed with foam bits and clumps. Every A/C company includes this cheap useless foam strip.

Very good AC
Just bought and installed this AC. I think it is a very decent product. The main reason why we selected this model was low noise level, which turned out to be true. When the compressor kicks-in you do hear it but this is still better than the other so-called 'portable' AC we have had before. The design is nice and clean; very refreshing after all those outdated window ACs. It is full of features, e.g. I like that it can measure the temperature at the remote control instead of the AC unit itself. This allows better temperature control in the room. The installation was tricky in a horizontal sliding window but completely doable. The delivery was fairly fast. One downside I can point out is absence of swing function. You can only control the air direction horizontally. There is even no manual adjustment for the vertical direction. This is not critical, generally, you want your cooled air to flow upwards anyways. Overall, if you care about the noise, you want a better looking window AC, and you don't care about the 'smart' features (this AC has no WiFi) this is a very good choice.
