Not Variable Speed
I bought this impact wrench thinking it was variable speed, but it is not. I returned it. I have written two reviews and they keep removing them. I asked if they could remove the label of variable speed, but I guess they are too big of a corporation to figure out how to do that simple thing. Many corded impact wrenches used to be variable speed, but a few years ago, it seems like almost every one switched to a rocker switch that is single speed Yet a few companies didn't bother to change their descriptions when that happened.

Not Variable Speed
For some reason, all the corded impact wrenches stopped being variable speed after 2019. My guess is that there was shortage of a part. Many companies still advertise them as variable speed when they are only single speed. This Craftsman I bought but I returned it because it is only single speed. I need variable speed for a specific application, but for most people, this feature isn't so important.

Je l'ai utilisé pour changer mes pneus d'hiver. Je n'ai pas pu terminer le travail. La boite d'engrenage a brisée, le moteur tournait encore mais le bout de l'outil ne tournait plus. Je l'ai retourné pour un remboursement. J'ai ai acheté
un d'une autre marque.

NOT variable Speed, missing part
Craftsman's marketing people seem to be unaware of the difference between the words 'speed' and 'direction'. Pull the top of the trigger, and the anvil immediately rotates FULL SPEED in the loosen DIRECTION, pull the bottom, and it goes full speed in the tighten direction. There's nothing variable about the speed unless off and on are speeds. Also, out of the sealed box, the metal ring that is supposed to sit on the rubber ring of the anvil is missing. Two stars only because I can live without both of those things for my application.

It just arrived today and it's an excellent device only problem is it did not come with the 7 sockets that it was supposed to. I am so Happy ^-^ check your shipping details make sure everything is right. (: Hope they fix this soon (:

Time to give it a try
Had a buddy own one for awhile and it came in handy when completing vehicle maintenance. Never thought I needed one till he left to a different area. Since then it has been a haggle getting lug nuts off with a breaker bar. Especially when you have about 6-7 vehicles to service daily. Long story short, bought one and can’t wait to give it a shot this week!

Heavy and powerful
Loosened lugs on backhoe that I couldn't budge with 3/4" drive breaker bar with 3 ft pipe on handle, BUT the trigger is either full ON or full OFF, NOT VARIABLE SPEED.
