Great Charcoal Starter
I am very pleased with my Weber Charcoal Chimney Starter. I have burned through several charcoal starters before I saw my brogher in law use his Weber starter. I knew it was what I needed as soon as I saw it. I especialy like its large capacity, because I usually cook my meals low and slow (low temp- long time). The done in the bottom makes it easy to hold the propper amount of paper needed to start the charcoal, as well as make more briquettes exposed to the fire. The two handle system makes it an ease to empty into the cooker. Lowes buy on line, pick it up at the store made this purchase very easy, and saved me gasoline looking for it.

Best way to start charcoal
You can't go wrong with a chimney starter. 2 or 3 sheets of newspaper at the bottom, fill it with coals till the top, light it, set it in your grill for safety and walk away. 20 minutes later, you get red-hot coals. No lighter fluid, no electrocution danger. Don't let it get wet or store it in your garden shed. It should last for years and pay for itself in a few years. Yes, you have to wait for the coals a little bit longer, and then you have to heat up the grate, but are you really in a rush?

Starts charcoal easily and quickly with newspaper
I have had other chimney starters, and I really liked them. This particular one is superior in structure. The grating inside (that holds up the charcoal) has a conical shape, which gives the flames from the newspaper below some room, and increases the number of coals which are in direct contact with the flames.
I only need two full sheets of newspaper, or sometimes three if it is windy. Some cheaper chimneys have a flimsy feel to them, but this on is very solid.
I noticed that some people don't seem to use the other handle. There are two handles, and the one made of metal is used when pouring out the lit coals. I use one hand to pull on that handle, so that I can pour out the coals sideways. That way, one's hand is never directly above the flames. Much safer that way.

Very amazing
This is simply amazing at how fast you can have hot coals ready for cooking. I had always used charcoal lighter fluid before finding out about the Weber Charcoal Chimney Starter. I now no longer use lighter fluid. It only takes a piece of newspaper and in less than 10 mins you are ready for grilling. I am usually a very picky person , but this product has my approval hands down. Go ahead and buy one. You won't be disappointed Very good product.

Wow!
I refuse to eat grilled food that tastes like lighter fluid or "Petroleum Grilled Salmon". So for years I've used an electric charcoal starter that did the job well. But when one of those coils dies on you your fire may not be started; and it will trip your circuit breaker when it gets too hot. A friend suggested this Weber Charcoal Starter and I just wish I'd gotten one years ago. It works better than any method I can think of. It's fast and thorough and I highly recommend this as a "grill master's must" item.

Weber; enough said
Weber is known as top of the line in the grill world and this charcoal chimney is no exception. It allows me to light regular (non quick light) charcoal briquettes without the use of lighter fluid, so you don't have that aroma and flavour associated with lighter fluid use. It's heavy weight and I'm sure it'll last a really long time. The heat will cause it to discolour (I like to think of it as like a patina); I like the look, but who cares anyways, it's used to light your charcoal.

As Fast As Heating a Propane Grill
I'd read all of the positive online reviews before I went to the store so I knew that I was interested in this item. When I asked the employee in the store if it was worth it, his eyes lit up like a little kid as he said that it definitely was. I knew that I had to have it at that point. I don't get the newspaper, so I used one of the grocery store adds to light it. I didn't use a timer, but the coals were ready for cooking in no more than 10 minutes. My old propane grill wouldn't even heat that quickly. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

The bomb
I used a Weber chimney for many years in college/grad school and just purchased a new one as the old one was lost during a move. Ingenious product.
Stop tasting lighter fluid or other junk in instant light briquettes. I prefer to use this to light lump charcoal with less additives.
I noticed that the chimney I bought was slightly out of round. I thought I remembered my older Weber being thicker and round... but this product should last. Lowe's did sell a different brand for 33% less but my old Weber chimney and 18.5" one touch grill lasted forever so I bought this one.
