despite the product specs match to tire size had to buy more chain and connector links to add four more crossers (2 each tire) to make up the for the gap of cross chains where the ends come together. i assume JD left the length of chain without cross chains as adjustment and slack to make the product fit smaller tires as well the 20x10x8s. JD should have provided the cross chain lengths to fill missing ones when used on 20x10x8 as per the product specs. added cost and trip to the hardware store to make up the shortfall. don't forget having bolt cutters as well. or you will have a big gap and slippage on both tires.

Definitely helped traction
Turf tires are no problem when mowing the lawn, but I use my JD for hauling stuff around the yard and the tires often slip with heavy loads. I bought these for snow removal but find them useful other times too.

The chains were as described.
Replaced a worn set of JD dealer chains.
Lowes was a little less $. Otherwise I don't see any difference from the dealer direct chains.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The information for this item is false. It says this will fit the E170 tractor and it does not. So be very careful when you order. For the E170 tractor you need the TY25229 tire chains.

I installed these chains on my D130 to use with a front mount snowblower. The chains were easy to install but they provided little value in terms of traction. I didn't find they provided any additional traction on my asphalt. Quite disappointing considering the cost of the chains. Additionally, the 2 rear weights that I also purchased don't provide nearly enough weight at the back of the tractor, I require an additional sandbag to get enough traction.

Good value
I am happy with these chains. They are heavy duty and should last a long time. They could have better instructions, or maybe even a link to a video on installation. Depending on which link you use to connect the chain, there could be an extra cross chain near the connections. The tire is a bit bare there, and I think I'll add another cross chain there. All in all, a good buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fairly easy on putting the chains on the left and right tires. I'm using the chains in the snow which will be in the near future. The chains work on the Deere E180. I could not find our model and took a chance. Happy they fit
