Can this door cover be installed on to brick and do we need extra tools to install
Yes the door cover can be installed on any type of wall. It comes with the Wall anchors and bolts necessary to install. You would just have to make sure you have a drill bit that will work for brick.

Cheap corrugated plastic
Good:The arms/supports are steel.
Bad:. Many of the provided bits n pieces n bolts are plastic.
Terrible:. The awning is not hard molded acrylic as expected. It is 1/4" corrugated plastic between 2 thin layers of plastic. Flimsy. It has no structural rigidity.

Door awning
The plastic cover is polycarbonate with open ends. Disappointed with the quality. Had to return it.

Door Canopy
This item is just what we wanted. We installed a door in the garage to a dog run and the canopy provided protection for the dog.
It was sturdy design and installed in a reasonable time. An impact drill would be an asset in order to drive the lag bolts

Met Expectations
the canopy came as advertised, no surprises, no disappointments. It is light weight and easy to put up, but you do need a couple people to hold it in place while it is being attached. We had a recent wind storm and it stood up to the wind. Have only had it for a short time, will be interested to see how it performs next winter.

clear canopy and easy installation
I am glad I discovered this product online and bought it. It does a great job of shielding the door from rain and snow but is not an "obstruction" that a solid awning would be.
