I installed the PP820-77 and it leaks from the pivot rod connection. What direction is the plastic washer to be installed in the drain opening where the pivot rod ball and nut attach?
I can't answer since my father installed it. You could put some special plumbing putty around it if it leaks. My father has recently replaced this drain since the ring around the pop up was rusting in my sink and I did not like the rust.

There was two rubber gaskets attached to the assembly the package. The bottom gasket appears to be the one which would go under the sink. My question is where and how is the top gasket to be seated? The instructions do not talk to that item.

Great Product
Nice to have something actually built out of metal still! Spend the extra couple of bucks to get this one, instead of the plastic version.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I purchase the mechanical waste and drains for my 3 basins and these were what I was looking for. All metal except for the pop-up.
