Worst Design Ever!!!
The idea of a spill proof system is good, but this doesn't work. You have to unlock the spout, the put the nozzle into the gas tank of the lawn mower. Then you have to tilt it up and press down so the spill proof mechanism will open so fuel can flow. However, it has to be tilted so the spout is straight down and when the mechanism opens, fuel POURS out and overflows all over the mower. DON'T BUY THESE. (Of course you don't have much of a say so because the EPA has made spill proof vented mechanisms mandatory.)

Insanity
This "spill proof" nozel spills EVERY time. At first I thought I simply had a defective nozel, so I tried another. I am now on my third, and every one of them produces the same result - spilled gasoline. These seem to leak from the base of the nozel itself at the end of the pour. I cannot believe they are even permitted to sell this product. I guarantee you will spill more gasoline with these new nozels than ever before. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

Good luck getting gas out of it
First time used it, spent 15mins and manage to get gas out of it but spilled gas all over my snow blower. Two months later, 2nd time using it, trying to fill my power washer, spent 30 mins, followed the instruction and still no gas come out, ending up breaking it. Stay away with this new safety design. I ending up pouring the gas directly into my power washer. I have enough of trying.

Absolutely the worst designed nozzle for a gas can
I have many different type gas can. This particular design is the worst i have used. It is difficult to get the gas out of the spout. Forget trying to fill up a weed eater, chainsaw, or other small engines. I regret buying this gas can. I cannot even change out the nozzle because the fitting isn't universal. Don't waste your money on this product.

WORST GAS CAN EVER
This is a spill proof gas can. It is so spill proof that you can't get gas out of it unless you take the cap completely off. Throw away the spout and use a funnel is the best you can do. Threds are not unerversial so those old spouts that work can be used. The reviewer from TX is too kind,

Worst gas can ever..
It's supposed to be "Spill Free," but it spills. And gas does not come out of the nozzle. I can't fathom how they thought this was a good product. It's mind boggling. I actually want someone from Sceptre to come over to my house and show me that it works because it doesn't.. It's a gas can!!!

Waste of time and money
My husband, myself and a neighbor try to unlock the can but none of us could get it unlocked. After about 30 minutes we finally had to use a funnel. We never did get it unlocked.

junk
I never thought a gas can could be so difficult to use, what a joke this product is!. It has directions but the can doesn't work. I ended up removing cap as well like the other customer notes on here, to dispense gasoline. It will now go to the garbage as I search for just a plain ole gas can GEEZ! Lowes, please stop carrying this product.
