I used a tube form of 8" diameter. I dug a hole of about 2' depth. I poured about a third of the 30kg bag into the tube and poured about 1 Liter of water. The water didnt get absorbed (as I as expecting). Will this work and harden enough for the Fence po
Personally you need to go down 3 feet at least. Subject to front depth in your area. Yes the quickrete should set the way you did it.

how many bags do I need for a 2.5 foot hole and 12" in diameter
About 1 and a half bag atleast. Also please remember to fill half, add water and then add the remaining half. If you fill it completely, water doesnt percolate all the way down. So only the top half solidifies.

How many bags would I need for a 3' hole with an 8" sonotube? Thanks in advance
When I first researched this there were different answers but unfortunately in my post digging I found that there may be roots etc and each hole is different. That said the info you’ll find on google are a little higher than the average but to be safe I would see if you need more . in our experience you need one cubic foot I don’t know how many bags that is off hand

Do I need Forming Tube with Quikrete Fence & Post Concrete setting? & How mush water do I need for 1 bag ( 4" x 4" with 4 ft. deep ) to make it strong enough to holding the Gate Fence ( PVC ) ?
You don’t need a tube. I used for several posts including fence, bird house and larger posts for a dog run. I did use tubes for dog run and where I was not able to dig deep enough because of bolder I placed a work pail surrounded by rocks. You simply fill have the hole with the mixture and then pour water on top. I adjusted in some cases if it did not seem high enough by added some more mix and new more water once I saw where top would settle. Hardens quickly allowing you to move to next hole.

Time is Money!
I purchased 44 bags of this material for 22 fence posts. A couple bucks more than standard concrete, but the ease of use, speed to apply (which is really dump it and add water) and set up time are invaluable. In my younger years I may have mixed all 44 bags. I've since learned my time is worth much more. Highly recommend this product for larger jobs.

Bottom portion in the post doesnt cement.
I bought this to replace my existing posts. I used the Tube form for the posts and poured about 2/3rd of the 30kg bag in the Tube. Poured water at the top and it sat there for a long time. It worried me that water wouldnt reach the bottom portion of the post and thats what happened unfortunately. Not sure if using the Tube form is a good idea but I had to use it since the removal of the previous post left a rather large opening. So not good experience overall and I dont know my post is strong enough now since only the top 10-12 inches became solid.
