" Stray Cat " Now ..Warm & Happy !!
I have a 3ft.x 7ft. walk-in Storage area at the Apartment Complex I am at and the Stray Cat that apparently was left there has been curling up on a Old patio chair cushion in my storage area, so I decided to try this Heat Lamp which fits in the overhead light socket perfectly, so to take the chill off of the "little fellow" and it "WORKS GREAT" ! It has dipped a little below freezing the past few nights and still seems to keep it fairly comfortable inside the shed area, "he was sleeping just fine " when I checked on him, and the nights it stays just above freezing it is comfortable enough that I could sleep out there. I HAVE A CAT INDOORS ALREADY, AND DO NOT WISH TO UP-SET HER BY BRINGING IN THIS "NEW CAT", SO THIS IS WHY I LEAVE THIS STRAY OUTDOORS.

Super Heat When You Need It!
This is a great way to heat up an area that needs it. I used it to warm up my garden shed. I am going to get the smaller 150 watt bulb too, for those days when it is just a bit chilly.

Read the warnings on the box before purchasing!
This is not a soft white lamp and would not be effective if it was. Also, there is a warning on the box in rather small print that says,"Do NOT use this lamp in wet or moist environments, including sauna, shower, bathing, bathroom, or other areas where steam or moisture can accumulate; other heat resistant glass lamps may be appropriate for this use." Our new home has two bathroom heaters that each use two heat lamps each. There's also an exhaust fan in each unit. We installed one red lamp and one of these in each fixture, because the red ones are more effective heaters and the clear ones provide lots of light for the "reading room." Three of our adult children stayed overnight last week when we moved in. This lamp failed in <5-hours in the guest bathroom. The front lens turned milky white and it no longer came on. We just replaced it, figuring we got a bad one. After reading the warning, it's likely that this is not the proper application and it just won't work. In any event, both lights together are ineffective heaters and we intend to replace these fixtures with ones that have an actual heating element and blower.

Sylvnia Heat Bulb
The specs are wrong. The bulb is not frosted, it is clear. Would have saved me a long drive for nothing if somebody would pay attention to details.
