Noise!!!!
I bought two of these for our new home. We moved in the end of Sept. 2023. It is January 17, 2024. These two units are very very noisy. Our house we sold had a different brand and they were whisper quiet. At their 1800watt setting they will burn/melt the finish on the vanity doors. The grill has a slight up draft, which in my opinion is a poor design for under a cabinet. Most under cabinet heaters have vertical grill which disperse air flow in a wide pattern where the Dimplex has horizontal grill which moves air flow upward and makes the bottom of both vanity doors very hot. I had to drop the wattage to 750 and flip the grill up side down to blow air along the floor. I wouldn't put it back in 1800 watt on the tile floors, and if you have vinyl floors it would melt them. Poorly design fan makes them roar. I recommend getting something else, I can't stand these. Look for something else and do your home work.

Great Idea—Disappointing Design & Quality
When the unit was initially powered, the fan blade contacted the casing when it started and then again when it stopped. Adjusting the blade position on the motor shaft remediated this problem, but it is not clear how this deficiency was not noticed by factory quality assurance.
With the fan blade clearance issue remediated, normal operation of the fan was intrusively noisy (>70 dB?). The heater was installed in a kitchen. Trying to carrying on a conversation over the fan noise is not easy. The heater is noisier than a cheap range hood. The sound level might be acceptable in a laundry or utility room.
The built-in optional thermostatic control (Dimplex DUCHT) was used to control the heater. It powers the heater as soon as it is turned from the off position. The air temperature at the thermostat was 20.6 °C, so it is unclear if the thermostat functions properly at all. I was expecting a standard 10 to 30 °C setpoint range on the thermostat. I contacted Dimplex on this issue a couple of weeks ago and am still waiting for a resolution.
Most cabinet toe plates are now made of low-strength particle board. The heater provides a tab on each side to "anchor" it to the particle-board toe plate. This is inadequate to anchor the heater, especially considering it is likely to be impacted by foot. The heater design should have incorporated means to facilitate its anchoring to the floor.
Quality and design issues make this a disappointing product.
