Description
L'accessoire de coupe-bordure EGO 8 pouces et la tête motorisée font partie du système multi-têtes EGO Power+. Le coupe-bordure de 8 po crée facilement des bords nets et précis autour de l'entrée, des trottoirs et de la terrasse. La profondeur de coupe de 3 po est parfaite pour éliminer les hautes herbes près des bords surélevés. Une durée de vie prolongée et des performances constantes sont garanties grâce au moteur sans balais à haut rendement. L'accessoire est équipé d'une gâchette à vitesse variable, d'un interrupteur de verrouillage et d'une roue de guidage avec bouton de réglage de profondeur. Cet accessoire fonctionne avec les batteries EGO ARC Lithium(MC) (vendues séparément). En tant que pièce d'origine EGO, cet accessoire de coupe-bordure est doté des capacités, de la qualité et des performances que vous recherchez.

can you use the trimmer to trim the edge of a lawn the edge of which is about four inches out from stone wall, i.e. there is a small drain ditch between the lawn and the ditch

Excellent price on EGO Equipment
This combo is a great deal if you have other EGO equipment and have a battery and charger. The combo is much less than the price of the two individual items. I have not had this equipment long so this review is my first impressions. The edger works well and provides a good clean edge. I could edge my driveway, front curb and and edge between the front flower bed and the lawn on a single 2.5 Ah battery charge with charge to spare. This is probably about 300 linear feet. So far I'm very happy with the purchase. I do not have other attachments for the multi-head but plan to purchase a couple of others.

The only issue I have
The only issue I have with it is that I'm left handed and when I use it left handed I get a lot of debris on me and in my face. I'm doing some inservice training getting use to using it with my right hand, so far so good 'adapt and overcome ' ;-) Most demos I've watched people are edging sidewalks, driveway etc. I have a lot of grass to edge that's not next to a walk or drive and that's where the debris is kicked up and out. The good part, I can edge a lot quicker with the EGO than I could with my bulky 4 Wheel Troy-Bilt B&S 158cc Edger. I do miss adding gas, changing the oil, spark plug, air filter and pulling on the starter cord - lol

Works best in less dense, wet soil
We have predominately clay soil and thick Bermuda grass. The cordless edger worked best when the soil is wet and the grass is less dense. With effort, I was able to edge my lawn... much easier after I stopped and watered the lawn. I have a 2.5 amp-hour battery and, on a full charge, I had no trouble edging along the driveway, sidewalk, and curb. The edger is a little heavier that the older corded edger that I have and not quite as powerful, but it should be adequate for most lawns. The blade can easily be adjusted to select the desired depth. Assembly was easy although getting the handle in the right position took more time that it should have.

Left handers beware
I love my Ego. Having a mower, blower, and older string trimmer, I decided to upgrade from my gas set up to the multi-head system. Everything is wonderful with one glaring exception. The safety interlock was designed with right handed people in mind. I have to contort my hand in order to activate the interlock so I can turn it on/off. A person would have though in this day and age, they would have given a little more thought to ergonomics.

A cut above
Bought this because I am replacing all my garden power tools with EGO products. I read Consumer Reports and they recommended the mower. The mower was excellent so I replaced my string trimmer and edger as well. My previous corded electric edger was so difficult I dreaded using it, and rarely did. The EGO product works like a breeze, the edging is done quickly and easily, and looks great. The battery lasts about an hour, which is more than enough time. Once you buy a battery or two, you can just buy the rest of the tools without batteries, which is much cheaper, and they are all interchangeable.
It's rare that a product comes along that is truly a step above previous corded or battery tools, but these EGO tools definitely are.

This is a good product. I have back problems so it's a little top heavy for me when the battery is on but it definitely gets the job done and some.

Works great.
I bought the Multi-head system with an edger to reduce the need to use my professional ebger. The edger system works great and does just as nice of a job as the professional edger. The finished product was as nice as my pro unit. Down side is the weight and controlling the depth of the cut. I had the wheel set for the shallowest cut. I had to lower the edger to get the depth I wanted. At the angle I edged at the edge guide was none operable. The cutting blade is at least a half inch longer than the edger guide. As far as the 2.5 battery, it lasti through two locations. That was better than I expected.
