Grandpa's Helper par

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 53, I was raised by my grandpa since the age of 4. Grandpa got me introduced to fixing my own things from an early age. He always loved to show me how to do stuff like that. One thing that was always constant was Craftsman hand tools. He had so many! One of everything it seemed to a young boy. If I pointed to something cool or strange he was quick to say "that's a piece of crap because it's not a Craftsman! You can have several boxes of those other tools and it wouldn't be as good as one good set of Craftsman tools! Thats all anyone ever needs is one good set of Craftsman tools, because Craftsman tools last forever. They never break, and if they do you take it back and they give you a new one no questions asked." I even went with him one time when I was about 12 to replace a cracked socket and it was just like he said. Grandpa was even honest with the guy. Said he was trying to hammer it onto a rounded bolt and it cracked. The guy just commented on the story, chuckled a bit, and handed grandpa a new one! That was amazing to me. A kid that breaks stuff on accident all the time and just having to do without could get a tool replaced for free! From that moment on I was sold! I bragged to all my little buddies about how great Craftsman tools were and that everything else was junk! I bought Craftsman whenever I could. I still to this day have a box full of my grandpa's Craftsman tools that I use and rely on regularly. I can't believe the ratchets still work perfectly along with all the sockets, hex's, open end and box wrenches an so on! Hell I even have a Craftsman circular saw that I use! I am still so proud of my Craftsman tools and also tell the story to any kids that need help fixing something in the neighborhood about how they're the best and the rest are all junk.
