i bought this pedestal with my samsung washer and dryer about 13 years ago. after a while, i was able to find things to store in it, but i am so glad i spent the money for the additional height.
my dryer looks like it bit the dust, and looking for a new samsung dryer and wondering if the pedestal i had bought previously would fit the new samsung dryer and washer. the samsung dryer model is dy219aeb. can you tell me if this pedestal will fit a new samsung dryer like this pedestal? thanks. Love, Love My 27” Samsung Pedestal
Love, Love, Love my Pedestal, only regret is that we didn't get it at the time we purchased our washer and dryer. It's an easy install although the washer was extremely heavy, it's a two person job for sure. Have to admit, I wanted the pedestal mostly for cosmetic reason and storage, but at the end of the day, my back thanked me. You should go for it you'll love yours as well. Measure Measure and Weight of Washer!
Make sure you measure ! If you use a washer that is both front load and top load it makes that washer about 7 inches taller than the dryer on the pedestal. Make sure you measure where you are going to put it also - I had to remove 2 cabinets just to be able to use the top load portion of washer. Also doesn't match up with front of the dryer if you put it against the wall.
Plus the whole drawer crushed the minute we put the washer on it. Just turned out to be a big mess!!!!

Nice but not functionable
very disappointed in height and functionality of unit. i replaced my old front load with a pedestal, where i stored all my laundry and cleaning supplies in. same ones do not fit this unit. now it' too late, because they are here and installed. ugh
looks nice and it lifts the unit which is good, but if laundry detergent items an not be stored, what good is it.
sad to think that on day 1 and i cant wait until it breaks and i get a new set, which probably will not be a samsung unless they change this .

Are you kidding me???
if all you want, is a something to look pretty and make your washer taller... buy it!!!
but, if you want it to function like any other pedestal on the market, to hold your supplies... you’ll be disappointed. the drawer needs to be 1” taller, and i’d be happy.

Nice, but...
I like them, but they aren’t deep enough to put detergent bottles in and not quite stable enough to keep the front load washer from walking during the spin cycle. Had to put down a rubber pad. I couldn’t use the brackets in my laundry room. If they hadn’t been 50% off I would be a lot more disappointed. I should have just built a platform. Damaged on arrival
really looked forward to these pedestals for our washer dryer combo. this is our second set of samsung washer and dryer and have had zero issues in the past. unfortunately samsung has dropped the ball big time on this one. we ordered these pedestals along with several other products. upon arriving the boxes were left until the washer and dryer arrived and were to be installed by samsung's installation contractor, sadly when the delivery company opened the boxes both pedestals were damaged beyond repair an unable to be used.
i have contacted samsung customer service nearly a dozen times and spoken to more customer service and transferred more times than i care to mention. samsung told me that i would be contacted by a manager, this was nearly three weeks ago! nothin yet. 11/18/2020
