Exceeded expectations
I grew up on a farm, and entered the construction industry immediately after high school. I've used hammer drills for 1,000 projects over the last 30 years, from my dad's old milwaukee to custom home builds with the latest tools. This is far and away the best hammer drill I've ever used. As an independent remodeling contractor, I don't need an SDS rotary hammer, but i need something more than a $50 VSR; a tool that will work well, and will last. I've only used this drill for one project, but it was so impressive that I was excited to review it. I bought it specifically for a basement remodel for which i needed to drill several dozen holes in both concrete and metal. It chewed clean holes through the old concrete to a depth of 3 inches in seconds. Switching from hammer mode to drill mode was a breeze, as both that switch and the speed selector are well placed, and clearly marked. I put it on low speed, high torque mode, dropped in a milwaukee titanium metal bit and drilled two dozen holes through a ½" inch i-beam. The whole process took less than a half hour; 1/8" inch pilot holes followed by ¼". The i-beam was over head, but the drill is so light and well balanced that it wasn't a painful chore.
I rate this drill at 5 stars because to be honest, there's nothing more that I could want from a tool anywhere near this price range. The only drill I found with the most important feature a corded drill could have; an electric clutch. It's well built, well balanced and has more than enough power without needing to worry about the bit catching and torquing out of your grasp. Only possible complaint would be from people who have no patience, or who lack enough intelligence to work with the auxiliary handle. It takes several seconds to loosen and wiggle into a new position but the grooves that hold the handle in that new position more than make up for any inconvenience. I would complain about the lack of carrying case, but apparently no companies supply cases unless one spends less than $50 or more than $200.
I've been a Dewalt fan for decades, but with how much butt this tool kicks, I think that Bosch has a new convert.

Very Happy
I have a 30 yr old Bosch hammer drill that one of my sons borrowed and has not returned. I need one of these maybe 5 or 6 times a year. So I've been struggling to drill a few holes with my regular drill and a masonry bit and finally went online, read a few reviews and found this on sale at Lowes so went and got it. I bought a set of Bosch masonry bits as well. Today Lowes was giving an extra 10% so happy happy. Drilled my holes like the cement was butter. Great.

Great value
I bought this drill to mix my thin-set mortar. I have yet to use the hammer drill aspect yet. The drill mixes a good bit of mortar with ease. The added handle on the side makes the job a lot easier. As far as I'm concerned, this is a great drill for a great deal!
