Rated 1 de 5 de par Why pay premium for batteries that leak. I used to believe their commercials, it was worth to pay premium for batteries that can work in harsh environments, that had to work when you need them most (that flashlight in your car when you are stranded in the middle of nowhere). The ones emergency personnel trust. Etc. Just found my 2 AA Maglite with 2 corroded batteries I can not even remove, then checked, and found: LED lamp with 4 AA corroded batteries Photography Flash unit with 4AA corroded batteries My spare car pack (4AA) 2 corroded. Sharp Home stereo remote 2AA corroded

Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaks Battery Acid I just opened my wireless Apple Mouse to change the batteries and discovered that the batteries had leaked significantly. I've never seen a battery leak this much and the batteries are still within the best before date. I also recently changed the Duracell batteries in my Keyless door lock and they had also leaked slightly. While I haven’t used the Apple mouse for several months this shouldn’t happen. I haven’t tried the mouse yet so hopefully it hasn’t been damaged by the excessive battery acid.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Duracells are leakers - Do not buy! In the last 5 years, I've had numerous Duracell AA and AAA batteries leak and damage the contacts of the devices they were in. All devices were in constant (clocks) or daily use when the leakage occurred. I used to buy Duracells because they never leaked (other brands often did) but that is no longer the case. Now I buy the cheap batteries and change them once a year whether they need it or not. I'm also buying Lithium-Ion batteries for high-value products that I can't afford to have damages.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Corrosion and Leakage Duracell has always been my choice of battery to use. Unfortunately, in the last 6 months, I have had 2 unopened packages with an expiry date 2025, corrode. At first I thought it was how I stored them in the package. But that isn't the case. I'm keeping them in a cool, dry place. Then, a couple of batteries I just put in a remote a month ago, leaked and there was a white powdery dust inside the cover of my remote, with some kind of leakage down inside where the batteries were. Brand new batteries did this! These aren't small packs of batteries I am buying either. I'm going to a club and buying the large packs of batteries. Guess I'll be switching. I can't have unopened batteries corroding or new batteries leaking.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaks Sorry but Duracell was a name I trusted but I can't bring myself to buy another Duracell battery. I have unfortunately had them leak into so many products, damaging them and now I much take the time and post some reviews. Usually I just throw them out including the device on occasions. See the photo showing just one example of a battery that leaked. It was one of three installed the other test as still having a full charge. What can I say but I am utterly sick of it happening over.

Rated 1 de 5 de par 2022 batteries already corroded in laptop cushion Date 2022, here in 2018, they're already having horrid problems. Not having great success lately with Duracell Coppertop batteries. These totally messed up our laptop cushion (to drive the USB LED Light that can plug into the top of the cushion), used in air conditioned, well temperature controlled, house. So, I would not have expected this to happen in the least! I bought these specifically to use in things that won't have batteries changed in a hurry.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Long-lasting battery I don't usually do reviews , but these batteries losted so long , I felt that I had to in this case . I have a few maglite flashlights , two with C cells and two with D cells , these are the ones that we depend on the most . We don't muse them very much but we want them to work when we need them . I went to use one 3 D cell flashlight and it was dead , I was fuming , I went and got one of the others and used that one. When I was finished I decided to change the batteries in the dead one . To my surprise the dead batteries had a " BEST IF INSTALLED BY JAN 2002 " . They still looked brand new . I can only hope the new Duracells I put in last as long.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Duracell batteries are no longer trustworthy I have bought Duracell Coppertop Alkaline batteries for years, paying more than for other brands. Lately they have an annoying habit of leaking, even while in their original packaging and well before expiration dates. I have a lot of batteries I am going to throw out as I search for another brand. I have complained to the company, in response to which I have been asked a number of questions about original packaging and where and when I bought my batteries. I don't have all the information, only the batteries that have not expired but have leaked.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaked in Package After less than 5 years, the AAA coppertops I purchased, leaked a white crystaline substance in their package. It was a package of 20 from which 4 cells had been removed. It's hard to tell exactly how many of the 16 batteries still in the package had leaked, but the crystals were everywhere in the package. The package was kept in a catch-all drawer in my kitchen. No extremes of temperature there.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Battery Leaks!!!! We have lost 2 remotes that were used everyday and one very expensive flashlight due to battery leakage. The expiry date was for 2022!!! The $100 dollar flashlight, the battery ate through the metal prongs, so we checked our remotes and found all batteries have leaked. I will never purchase Duracell nor recommend their batteries unless you enjoy throwing away expensive belongings, and render Blu-Rays useless!!!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Bad quality I used to always buy Duracell batteries, but in the last 3-4 years I have lost 3 expensive flash lights and 4 or 5 cheap flash lights and a awesome remote control for a stereo receiver that could control multiple equipment and is no longer available. They just leak and corrode. I don't usually leave reviews but I am disappointed in the quality of late.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Leak Leak Leak Duracell batteries NEVER used to leak! Now they are giving their nearest competitor a challenge for the worst batteries ever. Duracell,l if you are monitoring you need to figure out what the problem is. Your reputation is ruined!
Date de publication: 2017-12-09
Rated 1 de 5 de par Batteries go bad in storage! I buy the bulk back of batteries at a box stored, however, I find that some go bad before I can use them even though the date to use them buy is 2023! The store will not do anything about it, but this happens often enough that the batteries are becoming expensive. I am going to research batteries for another brand.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaking!? 9/16/2018 What is going on with your Batteries? Been buying them for years with NO issues, now (my AAA) they are leaking! Not one or two, but 15 to 20+ in the last 6 to 9 months. Leaking in the package and also in the product. Until it is fixed I can not recommend or buy your batteries anymore. So far you batteries have not damaged anything.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Batteries leak These batteries leak during normal use. They have ruined several items. These were not cheap items to replace. For fear of damaging other items I have removed all the Duracell batteries from EVERYTHING I own and through away all the extra batteries I had on hand. I am not the only person to experience this issue. My entire family has similar experiences.

Rated 1 de 5 de par I have lost several devices because of this batter This happened in 2018 batteries were supposed to be good till then, for a canon sx160, 1 wii remote, and an apple mighty mouse all these devices, I use every once in a while. All three devices ruined because of battery leaks. Very frustrated, I just found a remote from a tv that broke 6 months ago, and batteries were leaking too!. Ive had unbranded batteries on remotes for more than a year and this has not happened. I will never buy Duracell again.
Date de publication: 2019-03-03
Rated 2 de 5 de par What changed Over the years I've used Duracell products and was real happy with them. I've noticed that recently these batteries tend to leak. I see quality has gone out the door and cheap practices have taken place. You should change your name from Duracell to Duraleak.
Date de publication: 2019-09-05
Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaking Batteries I have used duracell coppertop batteries for years. Last week I was surprised to come across ones that had leaked. Today I was checking a flashlight that I use for emergencies and it didn't work. When I looked inside the batteries were so corroded I had a hard time getting them out. When I did I found that their useful date was 2020. I will no longer be buying your batteries. In looking on line I find that a lot of people have had the same problem.
Date de publication: 2017-02-14
Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaked in Multiple Devices and in the box! I've lost two LED flashlights to these batteries and now my FM transmitter for the car. An unused four pack even leaked in the box. On top of that two C-Cells leaked in an antique View-Master and ruined that on me. Why haven't I learned my lesson yet?
Date de publication: 2016-08-01
Rated 1 de 5 de par NO LONGER RELIABLE! I would give 0 if that was an option. I have bought Duracell for years. Not anymore. This past couple of months - first a AAA battery leaked in remote control (expiry date 2022) and then a AA leaked in the computer mouse (expiry date 2023) Another set of AA's totally ruined a vintage Furby.
Date de publication: 2017-10-29
Rated 1 de 5 de par Unexpired batteries leaking. Warning. I have tried and tried to continue to use Duracell Pro batteries but have given up. Every box I have purchased 1-2 leak after a couple of months. Storage is in a China drawer with home climate controlled and humidity between 40-45. House temp is set for around 76-77 degrees. Expiration dates are several years out, most recent leakage 2022. The have ruined countless electronic items from remotes to an expensive metal detector. I have been a faithful buyer of these for decades. I have no idea what the manufacturer has done but something has changed for the worse. I will never buy this brand again. I am tired of spending top dollar for a product I never get to use or ruins my equipment. No replacement offered either of damaged equipment.
Date de publication: 2019-09-09
Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaking Batteries Ruining my thinhgs I can't tell you how many of my items have been victim to leaking Duracell batteries over the past two years. They used to be good but something has changed, I think I will change brands also, sick of this constant problem.
Date de publication: 2017-05-01
Rated 2 de 5 de par Too many leaking batteries I have at least 3 dozen each of AA and AAA batteries, all with at least 5 years left before the expiration date printed on the cells. I throw some out every month for premature failure due to leaking, some in storage and some installed in devices where the leaking induces corrosion on device battery terminals. I am about to throw them all out in favor of another brand.
Date de publication: 2019-09-11
Rated 1 de 5 de par Unopened Package, Not Expired, and Leaking! We keep our batteries in a cool, dry storage space. Went to take out some AAAs today and saw that more than half of the batteries in our Duracell package (expiration date of March 2017), completely unopened and unused, were leaking. The other batteries (non-Duracell) in the storage space were still fine. Thankfully I did not ruin any devices with these leaking batteries!
Date de publication: 2016-09-02
Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaked and ruined my flashlight. I had no intention to write a review but came across this page looking for the claims page or address which seems to be hard to find. Anyway the Duracell batteries leaked and ruined my flashlight. Apparently this is common.
Date de publication: 2016-12-29
Rated 1 de 5 de par Chemical Leakage I purchased, around 2 years ago, some of that AAA and AA batteries pack for using in toys and remote controls. I can say, almost batteries I used in my remote controls (TV, Blu-ray, Audio Receiver) presented chemical leakage problems. At least, the devices were not damaged but it is very annoying to have to clean them when I notice the batteries are not working.
Date de publication: 2017-01-24
Rated 1 de 5 de par Battery Leaking - unused Batteries leaked , whilst still in packaging. Not had that from a decent battery in last 10 years.
Date de publication: 2017-07-03
Rated 1 de 5 de par Leaking Batteries Switched to Duracell, due to past experiences with the brand, and assuming minimal issues with leaking batteries (AAA size). Had the batteries less than 1-1/2 years, leaked in my wireless keyboard (lost function of a few keys, now need to replace); leaked in a Duracell flashlight which came supplied with the batteries, destroying the battery holder.
Date de publication: 2016-12-20
Rated 1 de 5 de par Quality Control has declined In the last year I have purchased packs (both AA and AAA) with dead batteries and once that have chemical leaks. The use by dates are well in the future (Dec 2025). Need to hire someone that can fix their quality control process.
Date de publication: 2019-01-13
Rated 1 de 5 de par leakage I've used Duracell exclusively for many years without much issue. lately (last year or so) every device I put these in has been destroyed due to battery leakage; flashlights, voltage tester, label printer on and on. until the problem is fixed I'm using another brand, energizer perhaps
