Love this thing!
Bought this to, believe it or not, to sand down my toenails. I have very thick toenails & manual toenail clippers took forever, so I went to a podiatrist who used a gadget to grind down my nails. Well, this thing looked pretty much like the dremel micro I saw on a commercial. So I bought the dremel, used it & my nails were done in no time at all. I love this thing!!! I might even have household things I could use this for, like sanding down some chipping paint on windowsills. I hate repeating myself, but I love this thing! I'm not even tool proficient. I should add that I'm female & 63yrs. old & have no experience with electrical tools.

Micro Dremel is versatile small tool
I already owned two heavier duty Dremel tools (corded & cordless), but actually purchased this Micro Dremel for use as a nail trimmer/filer for our two pet dogs. Neither dog has ever tolerated well the use of a pet store trimmer or clipper, so I decided to try the Micro Dremel because of its compact size, light weight, variable speed and quiet operation. Needless to say, both dogs (a Chihuahua and a Pug) now calmly allow us to file their nails with the Micro with no anxiety whatsoever! Even though I do use it for smaller, more delicate woodworking projects, its primary purpose is now for our pets. The small lithium battery size is perfect.

Disappointed
I bought this about 6 months ago and I don't use it all that often, in fact its still like brand-new. It has never been dropped or miss used.
The battery lite turned yellow and so I decided to charge it. I went to put it on the charger and the lights would not come on, so I tried turning it on and it is dead.
I am not going to send it in and get it repaired because the cost when all said and done is almost as much as a new one.
I have been using these dremels for years in the Auto Glass Industry for chip repairs and was excited to finally get a Lithium battery for longer use of the battery. I guess I was wrong :(

The most versatile micro power tool I've owned
I've been an avid Dremel owner for many years and I needed a replacement for an old battery powered one that batteries were no longer available for. I've looked at the other Dremel small battery tools but have held off. Then the Micro 410 was released late 2014. It EXACTLY meets all my needs in a micro power tool. Lightwieght. Superb battery life - always ready. Ergonomically designed so the tool does the job. Full speed settings for all my model making jobs. The LED light on the work. At last a charger that makes sense - literally! Price is just right for what you get. Dremel - you have an absolute winner. Thank you everyone on the team.

Battery stopped charging
I was excited when purchasing this Dremel, as it has all of the features I was looking for to use in my shop. i.e. the smaller style with variable speed. I found the dual speed tools either didn't have enough power, or too much. The 8220 was weirdly designed and not quite ergonomically correct in my opinion. The 8100 was great, however slightly bigger, until the battery stopped charging.
THIS tool, 8050, worked great maybe twice, until again, the battery stopped charging properly. However the batter is part of the actual tool.
So I'm at a loss as to what to do, with the amount of money I've placed in these products and the continual issues with the rechargeable batteries.

Disappointing
After my last electric Dremel took a dive after only a few years of light usage I figured it was just a fluke and bought this Dremel micro because . I quickly figured out I can't push it very hard and i would have to do until my business makes some money ,but now it just won't charge. I tried messing with the contacts on the Dremel and the charger and also tryd a new power cord but nothing's worked . The best i can can get is a bunch of blue lights to show up once in awhile like in the photo. Does anyone have a solution? Im Just very disappointed and in a real bad spot.

An odd application but it really does the job.
I bought this item for a single, rather odd, purpose. As an older guy I suffer from nasty toenails and have a really hard time trimming them. I have experimented with various clippers but didn't like using them or the results I got. I then acquired a battery operated (two C cells) device that works a bit like a low powered Dremel tool with a cylindrical sanding attachment designed for trimming the nails on dogs. It seemed promising but was too weak to be effective. Someone on a discussion board mentioned using a rechargeable Dremel tool for this so I thought I'd try it.
The unit included a suitable cylindrical sanding attachment along with a number of other bits. It really does a great job. I no longer have to bend to reach as the tool does the job nicely from a comfortable distance. In addition it will be useful for other Dremel type tasks that I may encounter.
The variable speed feature is nice and I use it at a fairly slow setting.

Not typical user
Purchased to dremel dog's nails at a grooming salon. Got tired of the cheaper versions that don't stay charged or are cheaply made. Will stick with Dremel brand now & so far love this one!
