Can I use it on the floor? Thx
I am not sure, we used it on our new maple cabinet builds for the kitchen. I would try to contact the manufacturer's customer service department and ask them. I am sure you can find them online.

This is not stain
If you want to see the real wood grain and expose the true beauty of wood do not use this product. It does not wipe off like stain. It is a fast solution and not a real stain. It applies heavy like paint and although you will see the grain, it will not show the colour of the grains. Wiping it does not leave much behind since it's so thick. It is a fast solution but the results are night and day if you really want to bring out the beauty of the wood. Don't use this if you have a really nice piece of wood. Use this if you're desperate to cover the wood and don't feel like sanding the wood 100%

Great product
I found this product great. The classic black was easy to apply. It did require 3 layers to get the finish I wanted but the grain was still visible.

Avoid using this product
I brought this product and tested on samples prior to finishing a larger project. I was Satisfied with the colour and application process on a smaller scale. On the actual project The colour and finish were extremely blotchy and could not be brushed out. Ruined the project. I read another review and it summed it up. “Polyshades is the Worst thing to ever happen to a paint can”

Very Hard to Work with
I have been finishing furniture for over 40 years and the is the worst product I have ever worked with.
The application is difficult since it is a combination of stain and poly.
There is little room for error and adjustments are impossible.
The results were blotchy and haphazard.
I will never use this product again and I have used lots of products.

Don't waste your time or money
This is a really bad product if you are planning to refinish a bare piece of wood or furniture. Like others said, it's like paint and it does not actually stain the wood. It goes on very stripe-y and looks awful when dried. I was so disappointed with the finish that I re-sanded my project and just used stain and a poly top coat separately.

Sickening smell
I had a new window installed with an open jamb on the bottom so I could make a shelf out of oak. I used this product to finish it and wish I had stuck with the separate stain and water-based poly that served me well in the past for small projects. I can see how others struggled to get an even result, but the big problem with this product for me was the smell compared to other products. It was sickening. I finished my piece in the garage and left it there for the week before bringing it in to install. That has seen sufficient with other pieces I have finished using water-based polys, but the next day my house smelled like I had refinished all the hardwood floors, not just a small window shelf. I ended up having to take it out and put it back in the garage (thankfully it was as simple as removing a couple of trim head screws to get it out).
Another problem I had with this product is the end result was far off the color sample on the can, but that was partly on me because I used 3 coats (necessary because it took 3 to get an even result that was glossy...it was blotchy and more like semi-gloss finish with 2 coats). It didn't end up matching the other windows in my house done in past years, so rather than let it outgas in the garage for what felt like would be at least a month, I sanded everything down and will be starting over again with a different product. Looking at this product in comparison with others, it has twice the VOC level, so maybe that's why it stunk so bad, so if you are sensitive to this kind of stuff and concerned about indoor air quality, definitely don't use this product. For the same price you can get better products that are easier to work with. The one good thing about it is since this isn't a true stain but a dyed poly, it doesn't penetrate the wood, so it was fairly easy to sand back to the raw wood.
