i have sand my hard wood floor. then if i use a Minwax Wood Finish™ Oil-Based Stain .Can i use a water-base coat?Please recommend one
You’ll get much better finish and result with oil based coat. It’s highly recommended.

is it ok if i use this stain on my kitchen counter top?is it heat proof/heat resistant? thx
It is not. I would recommend an apoxy. Counter top apoxy is heat resistant and durable. Its very thick. Should always use a finish coat to protect your stain. :)

Love this stuff
I've used Minwax stains in many different colours for many different projects and they all turned out amazing. Buy this in the smallest can for a normal size piece of furniture as a little goes a very, very, very long way. I've applied with socks, t-shirts, staining sponges and a brush, always using a soft rag to wipe off after 5-15 minutes and all results are consistent and lovely. It is true to the colour on the can and I always do 2 coats.

Refining of oak kitchen table
After sanding the old finish off I then applied 2 coats of colonial maple on the table top which. enabled me to match the legs an chairs which did not require refinishing. I very lightly hand sanded with 220 and applied 2 coats of clear poly semi gloss ( very lightly sanding the first coat) to complete the job.

Does the Job
I bought this as an intermediate shade stain shade because I didn't want the chair to be too dark. It is a bit on the reddish side, but after two applications, it turned out to be quite nice.

Outstanding product.
I'm a nit picker... I could not find one thing wrong with this flooring. All 30 boxes were uniform in size and color and well packaged. Installation was quick and easy with the joints locking together as designed with no problems at all.
This is the first time I installed this type of floor in my home and we are very happy with it.

WOW! SAVED MY HOUSE
My wood floors were worn away and needed to be sanded they are pure oak but I did not have the money or the time to do it so are use this stain and rubbed it all over the floors and oh my it looks so beautiful and it’s lasting quite a while and when it wears off again I’ll just do it again I love it it was the best purchase I’ve ever made [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
