Worked for a few months but then...
This bird feeder looks really nice, and it worked well for a few months, but then the squirrel's figured it out. The big problem is that the roof comes off relatively easily--it simply sits on top of the house and does not latch or lock into place. So the squirrels figured out how to push it off and they dive right into the bird seeds. I tried to duck tape the roof on, but after 2 days the squirrels chewed through the tape...
Also, we noticed that certain birds (nut hatchers in particular) did not like this style of feeder and stopped coming.

Squirrels take roof off
Feeder worked well for awhile, but now squirrels have figured out how to take the roof off by turning the red bird that sits atop. Also the metal rod used to hang it is not centered (can even see in stock photo) so feeder hangs crooked.

Not squirrel proof!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Squirrels were able to bend metal around windows and nibble the plastic so that the plastic to view amount of seed was pushed out of place. The plastic shield should be replaced by glass and better secured. Extremely disappointed with this feeder.

Not Sqiirrel Proof.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Roof latching system is horrible. Materials used in latch are of poor quality and breakable. Feeder ony lasted one year.

Not squirrel proof
so for the price i'd hoped this would be a good option to keep the squirrels away so the birds could actual get some bird seed. It took the squirrels about two weeks to realized they could open the top by rotating the the bird and I saw at least one squirrel adjust the tension spring itself so that it's weight wouldn't close the feeding area.
It's was pretty and could hold a lot of food but the squirrels taking the top off and dropping it to the ground made it a free for all. It is just a porch decoration now.

No Birds Yet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have position this feeder as recommended and birds are NOT using it. My other bird feeders are well used. Do not purchase this unless you want it as an ornament.
