Horrible on Electricity usage.
I bought this dryer a couple of weeks ago to replace an old(+15 years) dryer, being energy saver is a key feature for me. I monitored my hydro usage daily and this dryer has sky rocketed my hydro usage when I do laundry now. At first I set the dryer to 'Normal' it never heated up anything, all drying cycle would come out damp and cold. So we had to change it to the 'heat' option which is why I think it's now taking up so much power.
Either way, this is NOT an energy efficient dryer. It says to use the energy saver button, but that doesn't even heat up or dry the clothes/laundry in the dryer if you do. very disappointed , most likely will return this model

Ok dryer
Got this LG Dryer to match a washer that my children gave me as a gift several years ago. It's a close match, but a few changes. Shouldn't have procrastinated. On to the dryer. Still figuring out the best settings to use, but so far seems to be more geared toward energy savings rather than drying the clothes. Usually end up with thicker areas like waste bands and towels not totally dry. Also the vent flow sensor seems to be a little too sensitive. Could be some of these mandated things, but they've out-tech ed themselves on this one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Newest model a disappointment
The last two versions of this dryer were terrific. I used them at rentals and would consider no other appliance for our new home. The new model is such a disappointment - the controls are nearly impossible to see (especially stacked) and with all the un-changeable pre-sets on this model, I can't use the machine the way I want to. Now I'm stuck with this dryer/washer set that I thought I would love because I've used it for several years elsewhere, only to find the 2018 model is all about its smart app instead of the customer. Doing the laundry has become a drag. The pre-set, unchangeable cycles are not the way I do laundry, but obviously LG no longer has the user in mind.

Dries fast
This dryer works wonderfully with just one adjustment. I've noticed when I have it on the moisture sensor setting it won't dry the clothes all the way sometimes (like inside pants pockets are still wet) if I have it on the normal setting. However if I bump the dry level up one setting it works beautifully every time. I'm a mom of 4 kids and lots of pets so we are constantly washing and drying. This machine does a wonderful job. Problem with Dryer
I have a knocking problem with the dryer. I called Lowes and they said they would send a new one. They call to set up a delivery but told me that they would send out a repair person first to see if it could be fixed before they sent a new one . They said the repair person would call to set up and appointment. No one ever called. I call them back and they said they had no idea who the person was who was going to call be back. I Went back to the store and they set up a new date for a delivery of a new dryer. I'm having to wait over 2 weeks to get the new one. so I'm not sure what is going to happen. This is very frustrating to say the least

Pros and Cons
We bought our new LG Sensor Dry dryer from Lowe's in Madison, AL about a month ago and have been very pleased with it, up until earlier this week. I dried a load of clothes in the early morning several days ago, and upon checking the load to see if it was ready, I found that the plastic lint vent has apparently become warped from the heat, causing it to not sit properly in the slot. The result of this is that a couple of pieces of clothing with thin straps or ties became caught in this and resulted in tearing up the clothing items. I am about to arrange for service to see what can be done to remedy this. Otherwise, we Love the look and effective drying that the new dryer offers.

to complicated if taking to mexico
I bought this as a set thought it was a good price. my intention was to take to Mexico, when i got there and try to install found out that dryer had a different adapter to connect to power and on top of that i only had 120 volt so that meant i had to get double that. so i was required to go to electric company and ask for a new line with more power, which in Mexico is complicated. than was told it was my responsibility to bring it 100 yards into the back drilling holes on my walls in my new house. In my opinion is not worth it. Unless they provide a converter or transformer with it. No wonder they had it advertised at a good price.

Ruins my clothes
I’ve had this dryer for a few years. Everything is great aside from the fact that LG had decided to be cheap on the lint catcher. It sticks out slightly and so clothes get caught in the corner which twists and pulls some of the clothing and ends up tearing the clothes! It has ruined many expensive items. This should never happen. It’s really disappointing, especially being that I spent a lot of money on this dryer.
