Love the steam function
We bought this washer after our our 12 years old LG washer broke a couple weeks ago. We bought the old LG based on the consumer's report recommendation and it lasted for 12 years so we decided to consult consumer's report again. This is the mid price range one that they recommended. We are more than happy with it. We were super happy with how clean the clothes are and unlike the old LG, this one left no bubbles or suds after the wash is completed. We also just tried out the steam function for our linens this weekend and it is amazing! Now we really want the matching dryer too.

Fun new stuff!
We just got the unit installed yesterday and it is awesome to go from a 3.2 capacity to a 6. One basket of towels in our old washer would take 3 loads, on the new one, one shot done.
I love the smartphone app. It's awesome for an alert to come on saying the washer or dryer is done. Wish I could get the app to work on my wife's phone, though.
A couple improvements could be made with the app but other than that, love them.

Large load capacity
This washer has a large load capacity and so many different features it's amazing. It has a button for every load you want to wash and also has a smart feature for your phone.

Great washer
Purchased a few weeks age with the pedestal washer and we are very happy with it. I particularly love the size, the steam option, and the ability (with liquid attachment cup) to use a liquid detergent for the prewash function. Still getting used to the control panel and all the options. Personally have no use for the Wi-Fi stuff on the control panel.

I like big tubs and I cannot lie
Honestly - we have 4 kids and a ton of laundry - and when our old machine broke I wanted the biggest tub I could find. This one is HUGE and the quick wash is 15 minutes (tho we normally do a full wash which is about 55 min). My fav feature tho is that app that pings my phone to tell me my wash is done!! Game. Changer! It makes me so happy!
We’ve only had it for a few weeks but it’s been great so far. Was super quick to install and had been a dream since we got it.

Excellent but power button is way too sensitive
The washer works great! The touch screen or power button is way to sensitive.

A Horrible Design
We bought the earlier version of this machine and were thrilled with it until it broke down and was replaced with this version under warranty. This machine is so poorly designed. The hinges on the door only allow it to open just a little past 90 degrees from the unit, so the door, when open to put laundry in, becomes a huge obstacle to get around as you pull laundry from a hamper. Most laundry rooms are small and so you are constantly trying to juggle moving laundry with your arms full and a door in the way that has to be manoeuvred around.
Second, pay close attention to the top of the unit where the soap is loaded. It has a push back feature for a cover to the soap dispenser. This becomes a huge problem if your laundry room is designed with a shelf or cabinet that sits over top and you cannot get the soap in. Either the machines have to be pulled out from the wall or you have to have your counter cut or cabinet removed.
Finally, when you look at the side of the door the hinges make it look unfinished. and the. front of the door bumps out. I really prefer the finished and clean look of the original model, or current smaller models. While the machine washes ok, I find that on the spin cycle it vibrates a bit and often soap will fall off the top if a bottle is left there --I have levelled it so many times.
I was so happy with the previous model, doors opened wide and a little pull out drawer to put soap in. These units make me so unhappy when I do laundry now. I went online today to see if they had made any changes in the hopes to sell these and get new ones --but that is not the case ... so disappointing. It seems like some designer who does not do laundry came in and tried to make them look slick and cool, but their changes have affected functionality for the user in a huge way that is detrimental.
