Works as advertised on plate glass..
Had never drilled glass before... I had 15 holes to drill in a 6 1/2" x 24" panel of 1/4" plate glass. A glass shop told me the trick to drilling is to drill each hole half way through and then flip the panel to complete the hole from the other side. Otherwise you are just about guaranteed to get ugly breakouts. I was using a drill press running at about 1,000 RPM. I cut a 1/2" long length of 2" PVC pipe to form a dam around the location for each hole. Hot melt glue held the rings to the glass. Then filled with water and changed out with a squeeze bulb every five minutes or so. After three practice holes, I had the process down pat. All in all I have drilled about 35 1/4" and 3/8" holes and the diamond grit still looks like new through a magnifier. Drilling glass is a slow process that needs a gentle touch... Just know that from the start...
