Best Dishwasher I have ever had!
We bought our dishwasher about 1-2 months ago. This was a much needed and overdue upgrade as our previous model was outdated and broke down after 10+ years. This model one of the things I love the most is the silverware drawer being on the bottom rack and to me it might sound crazy but I feel like there is more room than our previous model had! My dishes so far continue to come out spotless and I am so far very pleased with our purchase! Love the clean white color, easy to push buttons and when it is running it is so quiet! Just love it! We will continue to buy Amana products in the future! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Absolute Garbage!!!
Brand new washer. Came with the house. Still had tags on it. Problems include:
-Poor waging capabilities (might as well wash everything by hand)
-excessively long wash cycles
-heated dry function does not work at all
-load
-cheaply made (parts not assembled by customer had to be tightened
-small I can fit more in my sink (I ha e a standard size sink
Now, I’m sure the cheapskate that refurbished this house has a lot to do with the fact that I’m stuck with this waging unit. The only thing it has going for it, is that when my counter dish rack is full, I open the washer up and use its (limited) space to air dry the rest of my dishes. Spend your money on a better quality brand.

Does the job
I have been using this dishwasher for about 2 months. My last 2 were the more expensive stainless steel tub type...they were 4x the price and lasted less than 3 yrs each, so we decided to go with a less expensive dishwasher. I am happy with the decision so far. The soap works just fine in this one, but in my last one I had to alter the soap and add borax...this cleans with the regular stuff quite well. It is a little noisy but I expected it to be noisier than the last one. My only complaint would be that the dishes do not get dry. But they are clean with no residue or film! Solid unit, could use some tweaks
I bought this dishwasher a few months ago and have no major complaints. Works well enough, dishes are clean. Only issues were it not coming with an insulation blanket or indication I would need one. First purchased new machine for me, i know better now. It doesn't do a great job drying but i suspect that is contributed to by the lack of insulation and hope it will be better when i do that. The layout of the racks is not optimal. Uniform grid but it seems to be to close for some items, to far for others. I have adapted my loading but there is still a lot of wasted space. Good unit for the money, could be better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Excellent Purchase
Purchased for my Guest House mainly for the very reasonable price. I have a very expensive dishwasher in my home and I can say honestly this dishwasher works better and there is no "foo foo'. My dishwasher takes sometimes 2 hrs to complete a normal cycle. If you are a person who needs all the different "foo foo" items like delay your washer etc. then this is not for you. However if you want a dishwasher that really cleans the dishes and dries them in a short period of time. This is for you. I have had two occasions since I purchased it to have relatives stay in the Guest House for several weeks. All of them have said they how much they like it. Cleans well, not highly computerized--which is a *GOOD*
Purchased this lower end model after my high tech KitchenAid dishwasher died after less than 4 years of infrequent use...failed within two months after purchase followed by at least 4 service calls for various computer parts to be replaced. The Amana is a bare bones basic model, but I want a machine which washes dishes--not one that answers the phone and prepares dinner. In other words, the less computerized and the more mechanical features = less headaches and hopefully, longevity. Note: I purchased the SS --it looks nice but it is very noisy but dishes wash and dry well...much better than the KitchenAid which I paid almost 3x more for the NAME... Better than expected!
When we purchased this dishwasher we spent about half what we spent on our previous machine (which never did clean very well and did not last as long as we believe it should have). So we were a little leery the Amana would prove to be a mistake. Oh, were we wrong. The Amana was easy to install and did a beautiful job getting the first load of dishes spotless. We were impressed, and relieved we made the right decision. On top of that, it was quieter than our old dishwasher (another unexpected plus). Thanks, Amana. Nice but rinse dispenser never worked
I purchased this about a year ago and it sat uninstalled for over a month before I was able to get the water line converted to work with it. By that time the warranty was out. U fortunately the rinse dispenser has never worked and since I have extremely hard water, my dishes come out ugly. I now only use it during the holidays and the rest of the year I hand wash everything. I do like that it holds dinner plates upright without the upper washer bar hitting them. That’s was the main reason I bought this.
