Why didn't we buy this 10 years ago???
We've been living with a horrible dishwasher that came with our house when we bought it 10 years ago. The thing was flimsy plastic, it had to be taken apart every few months to clear the debris from the spray arm, and it sounded like a freight train. Our new KitchenAid is solid, simple, classy, and so quiet that we keep putting out ears to it to see if it's actually running. We can fit nearly twice the amount of dishes and everything comes out clean. We thought the third rack was sort of gimmicky, but it turns out to be surprisingly useful. We couldn't be happier. It is very quiet and cleans very well.
We purchased this dishwasher in October for our new home. It is very quiet because we wanted that feature because of our open floor plan and so far it has met our expectation. It performs very well cleaning the dish ware, glasses, cups and utensils. The only thing that seems not quite right is the design of the utensil rack. It is awkward to have different size spaces for each utensil, I would prefer more continuity with the rack. We have the third rack which is a bonus.
We previously had a Kitchenaid when our family was home and growing up and it was the best dishwasher we ever purchased. It stood the test of time under many family celebrations. Thanks. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Cleans and dries very well, as well as better than Miele or Bosch. Feels more solid than similarly priced Bosch, but use of interior space is limited and less creative compared to Bosch, as there are no adjustments to plate racks and a second level on the top tray to hold cups. Plates' edges are placed parallel to tray motion which means that any time the tray is moved the plates fall out of place (Bosch has plate backs aligned to tray motion). Noise is not 39db, but this could be bad installation that damaged the unit (which is being replaced by vendor. Note that Kitchenaid are wider than Bosch and they may not fit in spaces occupied comfortably by European units. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We rinse a ll dishes. After three washes there is a terrible odor when we open the door. I had the installers to recheck including loop on garbage disposal. They said it looks okay buy noticed the odor, but did not know what to do. We just started the washer with extended heat. Also ,we use Cascade premium and finish. Do you have a thoughts? So far so good
We got this dishwasher recently and so far we like it very much. We had some trouble getting it installed, but that had little to do with the dishwasher itself. One thing a potential buyer of this dishwasher should check before they buy, is the type of cutoff valve they have under the sink. Ours was not compatible with the dishwasher and we had to get a plumber to change it. This was an expensive problem. However, we would probably have had to do this for any dishwasher we had installed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

quietest dishwasher.....ever!
We needed to replace our 15 year old dishwasher. KitchenAid was at the top of our list. Very pleased with the decision. Quietest dishwasher.....ever! Need to check to make sure it's running! Really like the top third rack for utensils, etc. Great idea.

Almost Perfect!
Have owned for just a couple of weeks and glad I upgraded to a better dishwasher. So quiet I forget it's running, plenty of room for all kinds of dishes and really appreciate the upper third rack. What I don't like is how easy it is to accidentally hit the controls, and if not noticed and cancelled will start a cycle, this is the only thing keeping my rating at 4 stars. so quiet I have to check to make sure it is runnin
