Spacious and Slick
I bought this refrigerator as part of an upgraded appliance package for my new home. I've owned several different brands of refrigerators over the years, including a SubZero, but this is my favorite. Both the refrigerator and freezer have ample, well-organized storage space, and my produce is staying fresh longer than I would typically expect. The ice and water dispensers work well and don't shoot all over the kitchen (yes, several of my refrigerators have done that)! I like the textured finish on the handles - makes it easy to grip and open. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Extremely Disappointing
The water filter is in the grill on the bottom. It doesn't eject well so you're on your hands and knees trying not to cut yourself on the grill. The drawer fronts fall off easily. For the size of the appliance, the capacity is laughable. It came as the "upgrade" in my 4400 square foot home. We have a family of six. I would need to shop daily if not for my second garage refrigerator (smaller but holds way more). Looks nice but that's all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Much noisier than older models!
We bought this about a month ago and probably wouldn't purchase this model again. The ice maker is so noisy you can hear it all through the house! Plus even though the exterior dimensions are the same as our old built-in model, this version doesn't have nearly the capacity of our previous frig. The water/ice dispensors aren't very convenient to use either. Overall, I would look at different brands next time, even though we've been very pleased with KitchenAid in the past. This has been a very expensive mistake. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

LIMITED SPACE
I BOUGHT THIS REFRIGERATOR ABOUT 88 MONTHS AGO. FIRSTLY, FOR THE PRICE I WAS AMAZED HOW SMALL THE INSIDE OF THIS REFRIGERATOR IS, PARTICULARLY THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT. ABOUT A MONTH AGO THE ICE DISPENSER STOPPED WORKING. THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIX THAT BUT IN THE PROCESS THE LIGHTS CONNECTED TO THE DISPENSER DISPLAY DO NO WORK PROPERLY. SOMETIMES THEY FLASH LIKE A SPACE SHIP AND ALMOST NEVER GO OFF COMEPLELEY. THIS CAUSES HEAT TO BUILD AND THUS MELT SOME OF THE ICE, AGAIN INTERFERING WITH ICE DISPENSING! Better than ever
This refrigerator is a replacement for 15-year old KItchenaid model with the same features. The freezer of the previous model was no longer able to keep ice cream cold enough; when taken out of the freezer the consistency was between soft and soupy. The only problem with the new model is the ice cream is too hard, even at the highest freezer setting. Otherwise, the refrigerator is an improvement in every way. It seems to have greater capacity and provide greater visibility and access. It provides ease in changing the waste filter which the old model did not. Finally, it appears to be well-made an hopefully will last a long time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE / QUALITY CONTROL
Having had a 42" Built-In Kitchenaid Refrigerator when we built out house (19-years ago), we decided to go with all new Kitchenaid appliances for our remodel. This Survey/Review is not about the quality or reliability of the appliances, but about the above mentioned title. During the first attempt to install (which we paid an additional $250 for), the upper trim cover was damaged and the installation was horrible and damage occurred to our cabinets. The overwhelming issue in this complaint was that it took Whirlpool shipping out NINE (9) more of the top SS trim covers to finally get one that was not severely damaged. The last person I reached at you corporate customer service finally listened to my description of the very, very poorly packaged shipments and changes were finally made to protect the item from getting damaged. The 2-month process was outrageous and totally unacceptable! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Looks and works great.The
We are happy we decided to go with this refrigerator. It is a built-in model and works beautifully in our new kitchen. Although this is a good size refrigerator, it does not over-whelm our room because it is built-in. The only thing we are not happy with is the section on the top of the door which, we assume, is for butter. There is no dish or lip on the shelf and, when you open the cover, the butter flies out. Other than that...we are very happy with it. We have it installed about a month as of this writing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Looks and functions great
My wife HAD to have this model over to get the professional look. Although an initial skeptic, after 3 months I'm now seeing the value. It does look great in the kitchen and gets comments from guests. It is easy to clean and repels fingerprints. The water and ice dispense are perhaps the most functional and efficient I have used. No errant sprays or stray cubes shooting out. It's quiet and responsive to temperature adjustments. Not sure I could ask for anything more from a refrigerator that looks so good.
