Yes. It comes with an integrated (flat) 3‐sided 2” black trim Kit allows for retrofitting with ease. Note, the trim is not removable.

The motor turning the illusion rod seems and little loud and the illusion rod doesn't seem to turn smoothly, stopping and starting. What can I do to fix this? Thank you

Can this insert be placed in a particle board fireplace unit? Guidelines indicate that this unit has to be 3' from all combustibles. Therefore, can it be placed in an existing oak (particle board) fireplace unit.
Yes, this unit can be inserted into an existing particle board unit. It just needs some clearance/air at the back vent for efficient airflow

What clearance is required, side, back and bottom. Understand there is air intake on top, and heat is vented out through the front? Can a TV be wall mounted above about 18".
At least 8" of clearance is needed from the top and back of the unit, the more the better for improved air intake.

Beautiful Fireplace
Love this fireplace, good heat, quiet fan, only wish the flames were a little brighter but all in all nice unit. Saved $80 because I ordered on line !!!!!!

Not warm enough
With less than 5000 BTUs, looks like it's not powerful enough to warm my basement corner(less than 500 squre feet).
Fan noise is normal but take a long time to heat the area since air flow is weak.
