Wanted a timer switch
Thought this was a great idea to replace my dusk to dawn light but it's losing a minute a day. If I reset this once a month means the lights will kick on 30 minutes after dark and will stay on 30 minutes after and that's if I remember to reset the time.

Once you set it . . . you can forget it!
This Honeywell RPLS540A switch is absolutely fantastic. This switch controls our outdoor porch and carport lights for home security. The lights now automatically come on 10 minutes before the sun sets each day and then turn off at sunrise the following morning. The switch automatically adjusts itself to follow changing sunset and sunrise times throughout the year - it even can switch to and from Daylight Savings Time, if you want. Once you initially set it up with your location (latitude and longitude) plus calendar date, you can forget it as it will turn the lights on and off at whatever program/time you want. We used sunset and sunrise times.
This particular RPLS540A switch is for two wire (Universal Wiring) circuits and works with incandescent and halogen lights (but not CFL lights). The trickiest part of the switch installation is correctly connecting the switch to the labelled "Line" and "Load" wires. Also, one other thing, since this particular model requires a minimum 40W load on the circuit, to ensure we had the required minimum wattage load for the circuit, we ended up using 1 incandescent (60W) bulb with all the rest of lights being energy efficient LED light bulbs. Everything works great!!
