RE: Kingsguy
I know it's been awhile since "kingsguy" posted, but wanted to clear up a few of his inaccuracies. First, there are two versions of this dimmer (most of their adorne dimmers have two versions) a 700 watt and a 450 watt. There is almost no need for anyone to use the 700 watt version, unless you are trying to control 8+ lights off of that dimmer. Also the 700 watt is not for use on leds and will malfunction in the future (if not ruin the bulbs), whereas the 450 watt version is for leds, cfls and halogens. It is very easy to grab the wrong one, as the only places to see the difference when looking at the packaging is on the side (where it tells you the type of bulbs it will work with) and a small print of either 700w or 450w.
Next, if the switches aren't working in correct sequence/alignment...it is because they are wired incorrectly. I have over 50 of these switches in my house, dimmers, 4way paddles, usb charge ports, wireless masters, et al..... and they all function perfectly as they should. No upside down operation, etc.
The sturdiness of these switches lies in the cover plate (metal), the thickness of the plastic outer cover, and the dimensions of the actual switches. Together they create a very strong and easily operated switch...with elegance.

Beautiful and Functional
I bought quite a few of these for a remodel job. I installed these in the living room, the corridors and the family room to give them a distinctive touch. The switches look beautiful. Installation is also quite easy once you figure one out. The reason I give four stars and not five is for the following:
1) These are European switches and have not been reconfigured for the US market. In Europe, when you press the bottom of the switch, the light goes on. In the US, it is the other way around. No big deal if you install the switch upside down, except for the dimmer. Now the dimmer will increase the light as you slide it downwards rather than the other way around. I installed the switch upside down so it turns on the US way, and I am prepared to live with a dimmer that works counter-intuitively.
2) It did not work well in my family room where I used it to control four CFLs. The dimmer had no effect. However, as soon as I switched out the CFLs for LEDs, the switch and dimmer worked beautifully. Another switch/dimmer worked well with three CFLs in the breakfast area. So, it seems to be a bit of hit or miss.
3) A bit pricey, but I guess that is the cost of wanting something different from the ordinary.

Cool Design Aspect from Functional Item
The unique square shape and high gloss finish creates a very cool look for what is otherwise a basic switch. Like the broad, easy-to-move paddle, and gliding dimmer. Adds a nice design element in the details, while functioning very well too.

Nice Dimmer
Only for use with Incandescent. Doesnt like LED.
I love the adorne product line, I have alot of these now since I was really hoping you could use them with LED based on luck I"ve had with other incandescent dimmers and LED bulbs, no such luck.
Nice things are super simple installation as well as nice feature where you can set max brightness level.
The LED version of this switch lets you set the minimum dim level to tune out flickering.

Pay Attention to Max Wattage on your light fixture
Overall, this is a nice looking dimmer switch, works well and is fairly easy to install. We bought this as a replacement for the dimmer that was original to our house. The original was getting very hot and, when we took it out to examine it, had actually melted on the back side. Thinking that the original was defective or installed incorrectly, we purchased this new model with the 700 watt rating. When it was installed, it too became very warm. After some research, my husband had me check the wattage of the bulbs and we discovered that our light fixture was actually 900W. The builder had put in an inadequate dimmer for the light fixture and we ended up making the same mistake with this one. The good news is that the same product is available in an 1100W model which we have since purchased and installed. It also gets warm but not hot like the others. I would have scored this higher had the packaging mentioned anything about checking the wattage of the fixture it is intended to control.
