Unfortunate they changed the size
I have had 3 of these microwaves in 17 years. They keep dying, but it has been the only one I can find that fits in my built in cabinet space so I have been replacing it with the same one. Just got a 4th and realized the size has been changed. It is 1/8" too wide now that it's 24"W. Since I can't find any microwave to fit in the space, I will return this 4th one and purchase another brand that might last longer and just put it on the counter. Also, the interior paint has a bad habit of peeling on the ceiling of microwave, risking falling in your food. I've had to keep a plastic cover over food to protect it.

Absolutely the WORST microwave EVER!
We ONLY bought this because, unfortunately, it was the ONLY microwave which fit into the space we had. However, it is BAD. The controls are very hard to read as the type is very small. The light inside is so dim you can hardly see. The timer is UTTERY USELESS; if you set it and are not standing right there in silence when it goes off, you miss it as it only signals ONCE, quietly, versus going off loudly until its shut off. Plus it doesn't cook. I can't for the life of me imagine how any company, let alone GE, could actually make something THIS BAD and sell it for so much; it's not cheap. amazing. DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE

Very disappointed
I bought this microwave last January as a replacement for an earlier version of this same GE model that I purchased when I renovated my kitchen in 2001. You've made some changes to the appearance that make the look less styliish, but I have been very disappointed in this new product"s performance. It is inconsistent in cooking--i.e. the potato feature never fully cooks potatoes in one pass, sometimes oatmeal is undercooked and sometimes it overflows using the prescribed cooking time. Now the plastic covering on the control panel is wearing out on several of the numbers. This is the last GE microwave I will ever buy.

Worst Microwave Ever
We bought this microwave to replace a previous GE Profile unit that had served us well for almost 10 years. From the very start this one was incinsistent in the way it cooked - undercooking one time and then burning the food the next. It also has an issue with condensation inside the unit that is so bad we had to move the microwave out from the wood cabinet that housed the older unit and on to the counter because it constantly drips water on to the surface when you open the unit door. You have to mop up the water from the floor of the microwave every time you cook something. This unit is absolutely a piece of junk and I would never buy another GE unit again.

Incredibly weird evolution
This is the third microwave of what should have been the same model that we've owned. It's an under-cabinet installation - that's the reason we bought what should have been the same model. But each has differed from its predecessors in trivial but incredibly irritating ways: mounting holes in SLIGHTLY different locations, so had to drill new holes in the cabinet. Control pad has the same buttons, but they're in a different arrangement, so have to re-learn where they are. Vertical dimension a fraction of an inch bigger than the last one. Turntable plate a fraction of an inch smaller than the last one. Are GE's engineers really that oblivious to users?

No oven light! More cheaply made than earlier one
I didn’t know that this microwave DIDN’T have an oven light. I thought that would be a basic feature of every microwave. It’s even more odd that the model lists a replacement bulb on the website for this model. We couldn’t find any panel that could be opened up to replace a bulb. Just be aware of this before purchasing. Also, due to limited cabinet space, this is our third purchase of this model. It is noticeably more cheaply made than both previous units. The keypad buttons are harder to push than previously. The only good thing is that the microwave is pretty quiet. I seldom write reviews, but this time I felt I had to.

Digital clock is brighter
We purchased this model because it is the only one we have found that fits under our kitchen cabinet. The previous one lasted about 7 years. This one is not as good, as for some reason they moved all of the buttons on the keypad. The door is more difficult to open and is quite a bit louder. For some reason, they reduced the size of the turntable. Every time they update this model, in their great wisdom they change location of the holes for mounting it under the cabinet. Wouldn't want to be consistent would we? My kitchen cabinet bottom looks like Swiss cheese. Like I said earlier, the only reason we purchased this one is it is the only one that will fit under our kitchen cabinet.

Moronic design!!!
This was bought as the recommended model by GE of the newer model of our discontinued model as it is the same dimensions and would fit in the same space as our prior GE microwave. Our old model fit flush because it had a zero tolerance door opening meaning it opened in the dimensions of the unit. However whoever designed the new model forgot about this. The new model opens wider than the width and therefore can’t be installed flush. How hard could it be to position the hinge to accomplish this? Very unclear thinking by GE.
