poor blade quality
I bought the saw in order to do flush cuts on window frames and siding. The carbon blades the saw came with claims to be a multiple surfaces blade. I used it on steel siding after ten cuts the blade was done. I have bought more blades and used on different materials plastic and wood. The blades also wore out very fast. Once the blades dull they will burn the material that you're cutting causing heavy smoke. A side affect from the poor blade design is the saw will have to work much harder then it was made to. This makes the saw run very hot. So hot I have had to stop using it and let it cool. I hope that Dremel will make blade with teeth that will last longer. To be fair when the blades are new the saw works great until the blades wear out.

Works but blades are garbage
The Dremel wood cutting blade is garbage on everything except basal wood. The picture showing them cutting off a 2x4 probably wore the blade out. I used the tool to cut about 20 LF of 3/8" engineered wood floor and the blade was toast after about 10lf. I had to break out my circular saw to finish. The issue is that the blades do not have teeth. If they had teeth they would last alot longer. The blade they currently have is equivalent to a butter knife trying to cut a steak. It just doesn't work.

Aways wanted one
The Sawmax is the bomb. It is comfortable to hold and with a little practice is and will be an awesome addition to the tool shed. You do have to get used to the initial torque of the Sawmax when you first trigger it up so be sure to bring it up to speed before introducing it to your work.
The trigger safety is new to me but after a few times I got used to it.
This is a great tool and will do its job for me around the renovation of this old house.

Blades are too expensive.
The blades don't last very long but the cut is excellent! Just like tires, the better the grip, the sooner they wear out. So in short, the saw is fantastic with a great cut and very easy to use but the blades are too expensive.

Worked fine until it caught on fire!
I had this Dremel saw for about a year. I maybe used it six times. The other day I was cutting up vinyl flooring which had 1/4" luan under it and after about cutting an 8" lenght the darn motor caught fire and burned my hand! I would have expected this to perform a light duty task such as this.

Did almost what I wanted
Wanted to cut close to the edge of my wood floors but could only get 2 1/2 inches from the wall with the cutters bottom attachment that doesn't come off but it did cut make a nice cut . Would make it easier if the bottom plate would detach for that hard to reach area.

I had to return it since the screw would not turn.
This product had to be return which was brand new and the Screw holding the saw could not be removed with the supplied tool. It appears it was stripped and the package was never opened when I bought it. I was able to use the saw for sheet rock but it doesn't hold up well for wood or metal.
