will it convert a LP device so it can hook up to house NG supply ?
Some of our heaters are convertible, some are not ... Check the product info. On many of our heaters there heaters factory made for natural gas or propane only and are not convertible. You will see "NG" or "LP" after number denoting btus for example vent free mhvfbf30(lp)t for propane only.

Worked perfectly on our Termablaster 32,000 BTU
A lot of people think this does not work on the vent free heater, but it does. We had hooked ours up without the 1/2 inch pipe included in this kit and it wouldn't work at all. We bought this kit AND a dual regulator and it worked perfectly. Possibly for the ones that can't get it to work you have an improper regulator or no regulator at all?? Try googling for a little help because if it's not working for you, then you are probably doing something wrong, like we were.

May only get you halfway across the universe
The universe is just too varied. I'm not sure I would apply the term to this kit. This so-called universal kit has a lot of fittings and adapters but you may find it is enough to get the flexible hose connected to your device but not quite what you needed to also get connected to your supply, or versa vice. You purchased a universal kit in in vain because you still end up making a second trip to the store for one more adapter or fitting. In the end, the universe always wins.

Does not work with Thermablaster Gas Wall Heater!
Do not believe Lowe's, this will not work to adapt these heaters. They may be fine for the gas grill thing but Lowe's sells them incorrectly. What a waste of time!!

get this if you buy a propane fireplace & install
Has all the fitting in one convenient pack plus the gas Teflon tape. Sweet! Without this you'll gnash your teeth and derive back to the store one or two times getting the right parts.

The materials appear to be high quality. Unfortunately the fittings are too big to connect to the Thermablaster gas log set I also bought at Lowes. The web site claims this set fits. It does Not. Return

Incomplete and damaged package
I bought three of the items and one of the package was missing two screws in the middle and the package was taped up on the sides...
for $23.98 each, this is not acceptable .... i will be returning for a refund and I do have pictures that are dated at the time of arrival...

This was an attempt to fix or rig a solution for an alternative heat source that failed but it wasn't the fault of the product! The product appeared to be well constructed and would have worked for what I planned but I need another element to fix the problem and chose not to continue the project and returned this item to Lowes! Install kit.
Replacing a 20+ year old gas log insert with a modern propane insert this kit provided all the odds n ends I needed to get it done. Nice clean solid fittings and sealant tape and a fresh valve. it worked
wife bought this so i could fix our aunts living room heater, came with the right size fittings, and shut off valve, plenty of gas line thread tape for the job, had a few extra adapters left over which is always nice for the garage stock. only thing i would add to the kit would be a cheap wire brush.

Very flimsy
