Description

Does this Eccotemp draw much power? My camp is serviced with solar panels so I like to control what electrical appliances I have. Also I should be able to reuse the power vent that I have on my existing BOSCH water heater?

Posée par: billie60
1. The amount of electric power would be negligible. 2. You could reuse the power vent if you can connect it so that it starts when the heater turns on and stops when the heater is off.

Does it come with an installation manual for heater and venting?

Posée par: Padre
Yes, it comes with installation manual. I not understand, why Lowe's don't have answers for this question. Lowe's sell this product, not me....

Can this be used to replace the gas hot water tank in a mobile home?

Posée par: rick88888
We purchased this unit for a double wide permanent home and its works perfectly. It takes less space than the old hot water tank. Be sure to vent your closet door for sufficient air floor.

Is this gas?

Posée par: Shawn88
Yes, the 45HI-LP model is fueled by propane and the 45HI-NG is fueled by natural gas.

what is needed to install it besides z vent kit?

Posée par: Roger212
Save 200$. Don't buy vent kit. I'm used gaz vent pipe. Same like to gas furnace. Gas furnace use 2 inch pipe, and nothing wrong, have more power, like this water heater.Just installed reduser 4 inches to 3 inches. Use fire rated calking to connect to heater.after turn 90' 3 inches, and 3 in. ABC black pipe 2 feet long to go outside home.to end pipe connect turn 90' ABC Whit simple drain cover. Just need install pipe a little down. For protect condensation water doesn't go inside home. In Europe we use metal flexible pipe, little stronger like to dryer. And nothing happened. What is special in North America ? I recommend this water heater for middle size home. I have full bathtub, and shower , 3 sinks and have enough hot water. Good luck!!

Chauffe-eau propane sans réservoir 45HI-LP, vent. toit 4" est évalué 3.5 de 5 de 2.
Rated 4 de 5 de par Good for middle size home. Installed on my house 22.12.2018. Nothing wrong for now. Just make a little noise when turn off hot water. Maybe for 20 seconds.. I have a full bathtub and shower 2 floor, plus 3 sinks. I have enough hot water. What reason to by expensive one?
Date de publication: 2019-01-18
Rated 3 de 5 de par Great water heater ... When it works I have a hard time knowing how many stars to give. As the tile states, it works great when it works. Maybe 8 months into owning his water heater we started getting an E0 code. After talking to live chat about the issue they gave me a simple solution. Unplug the white sensor wire and plug it back in. Seemed simple enough but then after that we started getting an E1 code as well as the E0 code. Ok, that wasn't the worse of it. The front display stopped working. Couldn't turn it off or adjust the temperature up or down. So I emailed tech support. After doing more tested throughout the coarse of a few days and a few emails, the said he would send me out a replacement computer board under warranty but I had to pay a fully refundable deposit. Ok well that deposit was $100 but it's refundable. Got the new board and installed it. Well that didn't solve anything and my display still can't be changed. So hey tell me they will send out a new unit but I have to pay a fully refundable deposit for the replacement water heater which is $700 or I can ship back my water heater and be without a water heater all together until they get mine and they ship me out a replacement unit. Well i have a 9 month old baby and i can't be with out a water heater for 2 weeks. So i get the replacement water heater and get it install, which was paid for by me be cause I am not a plumber and can't pull permits to work with natural gas. Low and behold the new unit still is going me an E0 code but the display works and no E1 code. Ok, so i email tech support again and get told to remove all y aerators and inline filter systems that are connected to the water heater as these units don't work with them as they cause too much back pressure. Ok so I try that and still getting an E0 code. Email each support again but this time I am getting told that because i live in Canada and the temperature is below freezing that the water can be too cold and can cause air pockets which might be causing the code. I have grown quite tired of the games and the loss of money i have had to shell out under warranty. I have had to pay for the problem unit to be shipped back plus for a plumber to install the new unit. Has to be the worst warranty process ever and i still have an issue. In the end i have learned not to buy an Eccotemp product because Canadian winters are to cold for them or maybe it's the aerators, or maybe its the plumbing in my house has been there since it was built. Guess i won't ever find out
