Description
Fonctionne comme une perceuse à pression articulée qui peut pivoter sur 90°, un support à outil rotatif et un socle d'outil à arbre flexible. Encliquette l'outil en place à chaque augmentation de 15° de la verticale à l'horizontale. Le « Nid de corbeau » procure un rangement incorporé pour les accessoires Dremel. Base durable en aluminium moulé sous pression. Outil rotatif non inclus.

Pretty good, but with reservation.
Neat idea, pretty well executed. Good stability for use with sanding attachments and other grinding, milling work, but a little loose when used as a drill press. The entry hole in top of a 1/4 inch piece of oak was larger than the drill bit due to some bit wobble, probably caused by the overall looseness of the mounting bracket. The exit hole was perfect. Solved the problem by drilling a hole in a waste piece and placing that on top of the piece I was actually drilling to use as a bit stabilizer. Worked fine. I'm still working to find a way to reduce the bit wobble without having to do this procedue. I'll continue to use the device, but with a guide when using as a drill press.

Love It!
Yes, the instructions are not very clear, but the product is so easy to use that instructions aren't terribly necessary. It only took me about 10 minutes to set up and I was able to use it immediately. I do quite a bit of glasswork and I've been thrilled at the clearance and size of the base. I can easily set a shallow water basin on the base to drill fine holes in glass. I've also used the instructions for impromptu clamps for the base to create routing guides for simple groove routing.

Works as advertised, at least for now...
I can't really complain about the cheap feeling fabrication of the product, after all it was cheap. I've had no problems so far using it as a drill press, a hanger for the flex shaft, or as a hat rack. I don't see it lasting a long time though, as another reviewer put it: "too much plastic". The nut that holds the tool itself in place is way too soft a polymer to last, and the depth gauge feels like it might break if I look at it too hard.
All in all though, it works well. The base is heavy enough for light duty without bolting it down and so long as everything is tightened well it stays true. If the two crucial pieces I mentioned were made of stouter stuff, I'd have given it 5 stars.

Not so good with 4200
I have been a huge fan of Dremel, but I really have mixed feelings about the Workstation 220. It is specified that it can be used with a Rotary tool 4200. The cutouts for controls in the holding cup are not diametrically opposite (they are 90 deg apart) and hence once the tool is in position, I can only access one side of the quick change, thus making it useless. Of course I can cut out an access hole but I do not expect to make these kind of modifications when it can be helped.
My rating is based on it use with Dremel 4200. If I was using a tool with a regular collet, I would had rated it higher.

pretty good, but could use some improvements
worked fairly well, but for highly detailed work, it needs to hold the dremel tool more firmly. I found the fine drill bit "walked" on a copper clad board, which required very precise hole location. The dremel attachment to the drill press was somewhat awkward and cumbersome. Still even with these "problems", it proved to be a vast improvement over attempting the center punch holes and drill freehand. I would recommend this product to anyone who requires fairly accurate drilling but it is not designed for high precision work.

More than meets expectation
I bought this drill press, along with the 4000 series Dremel tool kit,, Specificly for drilling some Obsidian stones that i am tumbling and polishing. this tool is almost like it was made for this type of use. Very happy with it, and would highly recommend it. there are so many attachments available to use with this, I was able to get a bit that would accomodate the 1mm drill bits required to drill holes in the gemstone beads.

Work Station Works Wonders
I bought a work station a couple of months ago and have been quite pleased with it. This handy item has helped complete many of my projects. It was a reasonable price and it works great.
I do have a couple of questions. On the crows nest there are two slots, one opposite the other. In your picture of the work station I see what appears to be some kind of holder with some drill bits in it that fits in the larger of the 2 slots. That particular item was not included with my work station so how so I acquire one? And what is the smaller slot for?

Of good value, for the price
I'd prefer a more beefy tool, but NO WAY you can beat this for the price. The wing head screw that secures the final down stop is too short and difficult to adjust, but that's fixable with a longer screw from the hardware store. Also, the tube that holds the cord holder won't stay up, but a few light peen marks on the back of the tube will fix that, and make it adjustable. If this one wears out, I'll definitely buy another one. Also, I needed a part for mine, and can't say enough about how well Pat and the guys in Dremel Service responded!!!
