2nd oven in 6 months malfunctioning
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the 2nd oven in the past 6 months and once again i am experiencing issues. The 1st oven had issues with temperature sensor. After 3 service calls and a new control panel which did not correct the problem, whirlpool replaced the oven. Now i am facing issues with an error code which indicates that the cooling fan speed is too low. Therefore the oven is not working until a service technician comes out. Needless to say myself, and the store where i purchased this appliance are very frustrated. Interested in seeing what they say this time, besides calling the help line and getting nowhere!

Beautiful but Safety problem
We bought this stove a couple months ago. It is beautiful and works great. However, we are very concerned about the safety and we're already thinking of replacing it. The large burner has a simmer feature and you cannot tell if it is left on. You can't see flame and there are no on/off light to tell if any burners are left on. Two times we have found it on in the morning (it was on over night). This morning we had smoke due to a melted plate. KitchenAid should have put a on/off light so you can tell if it is left on. Not sure what we will do, but we'd rather get something else than burn our house down.

AquaLift Self Clean Does Not Work
I bought this stove last August together with a complete set of KitchenAid appliances for a kitchen remodel. I love cooking on this stove. The burners give you great power and control. Also the look of the stove is great. The MAJOR disappointment is the AquaLift self-cleaning system. Simply put, it does not work. I follow the instructions to the letter and at the end of the cycle there is some improvement on the oven floor but it does nothing to remove baked on grease and grime from the oven door and walls. It is basically useless and does not function as advertised.

Worst Oven for Cleaning
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love the size of the oven, love the fact it has the smaller cooking oven, love the look, however, this new Aqualift is worse than having to clean the oven manually with oven cleaner.
We had a gas Kitchen Aid range before, and the cleaning cycle worked amazingly well. Only had to wipe the dust left when done. This new oven does not get any of the stains off at all. I tried 3 times to clean with no success, and I had to almost crawl into the oven and scrup it and even then didn't get it clean.
Additionally, be careful when brushing up against the control knobs, as twice while cleaning the cook top the gas came on.
It's to bad, as it is a great looking range.

It is horrble
I purchased this range 3 years ago while doing a complete kitchen remodel. I tried the self clean and it does not self clean. After following instructions to the letter, the oven was not clean. After a few months the fan for the oven unit would not work. With the fan not working the oven would not work. Now 3 years later will baking the oven started clicking on and off and will not work. With my dinner half cooked. For the money paid you should be able to have an appliance for longer than 3 years before calling for repairs. I have had to call twice.

Still waiting for service on the gas range
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this gas range in August and got it on my place in September 12, 2015. The baking drawer didn't close properly and I called KitchenAid, they sent a technician on Sept 13 which review it and said that the drawer is crooked. I'm still waiting for the replacement.
The baking drawer will be my main oven, more than the oven itself and I'm not be able to use it yet.
I can't comment more as I didn't try the oven yet.
Excellent customer service is a MUST and after paying close to CAD$ 3,000 for a gas range you expect an excellent product at least any issue solve promptly, this is not the case.

Fantastic looks and performance
I just bought this range. I love everything about it. I just baked apple dumplings, in my old oven they were good but flat and doughey. I used the convection bake and they are perfect puffy and crisp.

So many features!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these...yes I said two of them. Put them side by side in my kitchen. They look amazing and I now have two full ovens, two small ovens and 10 burners. EVERYONE wants to come to my house now. You can cook a meal for 30 people with that kind of horsepower in the kitchen. The features of steam bake, convection, keep warm, and the same settings on the bottom ovens are just amazing. The design is sleek and modern. These things are worth every penny and the best part...2 of these oven ranges are more space and less cost than a 48 inch range! Thank you Kitchen Aid for building such an amazing product.
