Description
Ce congélateur vertical Amana(MD) de 18 pi³ vous permettera de réaliser d'importantes économies en vous donnant la possibilité d'entreposer davantage d'articles surgelés en vrac qu'un simple réfrigérateur. L'appareil dispose d'une option intégrée vous permettant de congeler rapidement de grandes quantités d'aliments au simple toucher d'un bouton. Cette option abaisse temporairement la température du congélateur à 10 degrés au-dessous du réglage le plus bas pour congeler les aliments rapidement et efficacement. La technologie DeepFreeze refroidit le congélateur pour atteindre la température glacée de -22 °C et vous aider à conserver les repas surgelés pendant plusieurs mois. Le système Free-O-Frost contribue à éviter l'accumulation de givre, ce qui signifie que vous n'avez pas à planifier un dégivrage manuel de votre congélateur. Enfin, les roulettes permettent de déplacer facilement le congélateur, même lorsqu'il est entièrement plein. Garantie limitée d'un (1) an sur les pièces et la main-d'oeuvre.

So much room
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace an 15 year old model. It has far more room then the same size one I replaced. The door shelves hold so much then the old one. Was going to get a second freezer for the basement to keep bread in but have extra room with everything in it and things are so much easier to find. Also very quiet and does not run as often as others

Good, Effective, Reasonably Priced Upright Freezer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this particular freezer for two reasons the relatively narrow dimensions (we were putting it into a fairly cramped space) and because the door had to open with the hinges on the left. Very few have reversible doors and most freezers have the hinges on the right.
This freezer was rather large in volume (18 cu ft), nice and narrow (just over 30"), has reversible door, and was very reasonably priced. It's a little basic but it works well so far and suited our needs very well

Great Freezer lots of room
We have owned this freezer for a few months now and no issues what so ever. We considered a chest freezer but after seeing so many reviewes of people who complained of having to bend down and search we opted for the standing unit. The light illuminates everything and has a rapid cool down feature to drop temps fast. There are lots of shelves to store either in the unit or back of the door. You can also change the position of the door if you prefer a left or right side opening. All and all its been great and no issues.

I was concerned that our old freezer was using a lot of energy so I bought a meter to measure KWH. The old freezer was using about 1400 KWHs per year which is about four times what it should!
I bought the Amana freezer based upon the dimensions where it would fit in our garage, the interior features and energy consumption. It fit perfectly and I loaded all of the contents from the old freezer with room to spare. The last test was to plug it into the meter and see how much energy it would use. As of just now it has been on for 983 hours and has used 40.32 KWH of electricity. That means that in one year it will use approximately 359 KWH, well below what the Energy Guide estimate that was posted on the freezer! This freezer is using 25% of the power that the old one was and that is keeping our electricity bill from going into third tier usage, the most expensive tier.
I'm very happy with this appliance and would recommend it to anyone.

Good so far
We know Whirlpool makes most of the freezers. We had a LEMON whirlpool which lasted less than 2 yrs. High noise, many parts failed, compressor failed. We chucked it. The Amana runs smooth and infrequently and is troublefree thus far. A great improvement but made by the same conglomorate.

Super Freezer
I bought this as a replacement for another older model and I absolutely love it. I have 2 other freezers as we live a subsistence lifestyle so need functional, working freezers. I love the lights; they are brighter than any others. The door opens and closes so easy with hardly a pull.

Best freezer in the West
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This freezer is the greatest. Easy installation and with the adjustable shelving you are able to fit any size container on a shelf. With automatic self defrost, this is a busy family's dream. I would highly recommend it .

Great Size and Features
This was recommended to us because it has reversible doors. We had an old chest freezer in a corner in our mud room and wanted to put this new one in the same location. The other nice feature is that the interior shelves are adjustable making for a great use of space.
