Much better than Plaster of Paris!
I needed to plaster my ceiling as some had fallen down. Plaster of Paris was a disaster as I threw away half a bucket of solidified mud.I was mixing it with perlite ( I covered the perlite in the bucket with cold water, a bit of Weld Bond Glue, a bit of white cement powder, then added the Certain Teed 90 till it was still slightly runny) .I had WAY MORE time to apply the mixture, being able to apply about 1/4 of a 5 gal bucket. After washing tools and pail, I could mix up another batch and continue. If I didn't continue plastering, I'd coat the previous day's work with a Weld Bond glue/water mixture (about 1 to 3 parts water) so it wouldn't set up too fast. While it was still damp I could plaster again with my perlite/high density 90 mixture. After I was done plastering, I again would coat with glue/water (not too wet) and then apply roll on stipple. I'm so thankful to find this material (Certain Teed High Density 90).You get a lot of product for the price.

Great high density compound
Love the compound, to really know how to use this compound first you needed to know where you'll be using this. I have been using this for all my large whole and cracks. It work really well and drys extremely hard.. it is not for everyone. Only those who work with drywall compound will know how, where and when use this type of compound.

Did not adhere to clean primed drywall ceiling - had to remove entire lift and start over. Waste of time and money. Never had this issue with Durabond 90.
