Description

Is this set up ok for propane or is it for natural gas hook up only?

Posée par: joey b
Read the 45HI specs. It asks if you need it for Natural Gas or Propane use, and auto selects the appropriate connection kit you need.

Right now I have a gas 60 gallon water tank with chime (not power vent).. Can I replace the tinkles heater gas? What size do I need?

Posée par: toan kim
You can chage to a tankless, but you need to determine your hot water needs to know what size and you also needto think of your gas supply vailability and type, the water pressureand knd od water you have re hardness and water pipe sizes, also you will have to consider your chimney/vent options.

what is the difference between NE39001 and NE39002 other than $300.00.

Posée par: Tim Chow
Hello Tim, NE39001 includes the tankless water heater ONLY without the vent kit. NE39002 includes the tankless water heater plus the vent kit which is required for any indoor gas tankless water heater. The 45HI is sold as a standalone version for those who already have their own vent kit or chimney.

If this is a gas powered heater can it be vented out the same vent as the gas furnace or does it require a separate vent pipe?

Posée par: Geraldine
Used electric heater now. I want to change to tankless gas heater. There is enough room to put intake and exhaust pipe.

Posée par: Rick A
Unfortunately, only 45HI indoor is being sold to Canada due to the extreme temperature. Thank you!

Chauffe-eau propane sans réservoir Eccotemp 45HI-LP est évalué 3.5 de 5 de 4.
Rated 2 de 5 de par not as efficient as advertised I do not! recommend a tankless water heater! They are not telling the whole truth about it being cheaper to run. Let me explain. The yearly energy user guide rating cld be true. This one says it uses $82 less a yr compared to a 40 gal tank that I wld have gotten. But what they don't tell u is how much more water it uses getting hot & how much of your time it's going to waste waiting on it. The cost of the water is going to be more than $82 a year for us

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good for middle size home. Installed on my house 22.12.2018. Nothing wrong for now. Just make a little noise when turn off hot water. Maybe for 20 seconds.. I have a full bathtub and shower 2 floor, plus 3 sinks. I have enough hot water. What reason to by expensive one?

Rated 3 de 5 de par Great water heater ... When it works I have a hard time knowing how many stars to give. As the tile states, it works great when it works. Maybe 8 months into owning his water heater we started getting an E0 code. After talking to live chat about the issue they gave me a simple solution. Unplug the white sensor wire and plug it back in. Seemed simple enough but then after that we started getting an E1 code as well as the E0 code. Ok, that wasn't the worse of it. The front display stopped working. Couldn't turn it off or adjust the temperature up or down. So I emailed tech support. After doing more tested throughout the coarse of a few days and a few emails, the said he would send me out a replacement computer board under warranty but I had to pay a fully refundable deposit. Ok well that deposit was $100 but it's refundable. Got the new board and installed it. Well that didn't solve anything and my display still can't be changed. So hey tell me they will send out a new unit but I have to pay a fully refundable deposit for the replacement water heater which is $700 or I can ship back my water heater and be without a water heater all together until they get mine and they ship me out a replacement unit. Well i have a 9 month old baby and i can't be with out a water heater for 2 weeks. So i get the replacement water heater and get it install, which was paid for by me be cause I am not a plumber and can't pull permits to work with natural gas. Low and behold the new unit still is going me an E0 code but the display works and no E1 code. Ok, so i email tech support again and get told to remove all y aerators and inline filter systems that are connected to the water heater as these units don't work with them as they cause too much back pressure. Ok so I try that and still getting an E0 code. Email each support again but this time I am getting told that because i live in Canada and the temperature is below freezing that the water can be too cold and can cause air pockets which might be causing the code. I have grown quite tired of the games and the loss of money i have had to shell out under warranty. I have had to pay for the problem unit to be shipped back plus for a plumber to install the new unit. Has to be the worst warranty process ever and i still have an issue. In the end i have learned not to buy an Eccotemp product because Canadian winters are to cold for them or maybe it's the aerators, or maybe its the plumbing in my house has been there since it was built. Guess i won't ever find out
