Excellent for new drywall finishing.
It is important to understand what this compound is and isn't intended for.
This compound is for new drywall only and should only be applied after the first or second coat with certainteed setting compound. Basically using this compound for the 2nd/3rd and subsequent thin coats until it "sparkles" in the light. Then it only requires light sanding where it meets the drywall paper and after it has fully cured. I recommend using Norton 400 grit sand paper for this final task with a shop vac+yellow filtration bags instead of breathing in the drywall dust.
Note that the compound will easily scratch with 220 grit if it hasn't fully cured.
This compound should not be used for taping, patching and installing corner beads because it doesn't provide the structural strength of setting compound. Regardless of what is indicated on this box. I learnt this the hard way.
This compound should not be used for skim coating over oil based paint or glossy paint since it is vinyl based. Think vinyl primers which are intended for new drywall only. It is always satisfactory installing new drywall than to skim coat over really old drywall.
This compound should not be used with a halogen work lamp as overheating the walls(the surface temperature) will cause the compound to tear while spreading it.
This compound should not be remixed and simply empty the whole box in a 5 gallon bucket, close it with a lid and use as needed. The compound spreads a lot better after leaving it to dry a little bit in the mud pan as it can be too watery in some batches.

Used to be the best. Now it's just the cheapest
I've been professionally high end taping for 20 years and used this compound exclusively for a lot of it. In 3 separate cases during this time it has shrunk days after its been cured and painted, as if the primer reactivated it to shrink more, reveiling all joints and screws even after multiple coats. I've checked it after sanding with straight edges and it looks perfect until a few days after the paint goes up. Not sure what they're doing with the formulation but it's not consistent and for this reason, I'm switching to a far superior continental all purpose compound.

I have used setting compound to set the joint tapes and then used this premixed compound to finish my basement after. Easy to use, spread well and I am happy with the result.
