Love it!
Bought the whirlpool stackable one piece set 4 years ago, nothing but trouble and sank a ton of money into it. It died right before Christmas so we read the reviews and took a chance on this one. Let me tell you, I had no idea how bad my last washer was until I go this one. Clothes that were stained from last washer not getting them clean... came out like new. Quiet, it is energy efficient and my clothes are so clean. Best decision yet. Totally love this machine. I do not miss having the middle agitator either. It would beat up my clothes and they would look spent quickly. Not with this one, gentle but tough on stains! Highly recommended! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Excellent quiet and smooth operation
I have owned my Amana washer & dryer for a month now, and I can honestly say these are the best set I’ve ever owned. They are big enough to do any size job, and yet a small load comes out perfectly.
I have mine stacked, this is my 3rd set of stackable, and the Amana is the first set not to be louder than a conventional set. This is an important issue to me. I sometimes have to return to the laundry room to make sure I actually started them!
Extremely pleased with the Amana washer & dryer. I would and do recommend them to anyone who wants a more pleasant laundry experience. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I thought it was all good
I previously had a 12 year old front load Whirlpool Duet Sport. Loved loved loved. Never one issue. It was too small for my newly purchased king sized bed linens. I got this on sale and partially because whirlpool makes Amana. They are not the same. The whirlpool uses metal brackets the Amana, plastic. Also the Amana does a horrible job spinning the water out of my clothes. With the whirlpool they were practically dry coming out the washer. Now they are still wet and I have to increase dry time by 15 mins. More wear and tear on my clothes. The Amana is fancier compared to my 12 year old washer but at the end of the day, I only care about how it washes. Average...spend a little more and upgrade to a Whirlpool!

Good washer
I just finished my first load with this washer. Overall, it performed well. I barely heard it running and the clothes seem to have had a good rinse (noo odor and not strong detergent smells). Some of the options seem a bit over the top, but that's the current market. For the price, you are getting more than you would if you were to go with a Samsung. Made in America, energy star certified, with a NJ rebate of $75. I'm a happy camper. If there are any major updates, I will update this review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Lock Alert for Door
There have been issues with the rinse cycle and having to cycle our cloths a couple of time to lessen the amount of water still absorbed. Today there is an issue with powering on and receiving a "lock door" alert. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in to reset the sensor. There isn't anything blocking the door. When I power it on it just gives me this alert and won't allow me to do anything else. Its less than a year old so I am wondering if we needs to serviced already....if so that is huge disappointment. I've reached out to the Amana Facebook Page in attempt to get some support. We'll see how that goes.

Loud Hum. Trouble with balancing for spin
This Amana washer makes a loud annoying humming sound. I have to keep the door to the laundry room closed and can't hear the end of cycle chime. I would guess that the Whirlpool version does the same. NOT QUIET like my son's Samsung washer.
The clothes stick to the tub so the washer has a hard time balancing the load for the high speed spin.
Clothes take longer to dry than they used to with my old Amana front load washer.

Disappointing
If you’re very happy in your life and looking for disappointment then this is the best product to get you there even before you dream of it. I bought this in second week of April this year and the Control panel didn’t even last until the month of May of the same year. I felt like winning a jackpot when it broke down still under warranty but it took 2 different parts and almost 2 weeks to get it back running again today. Now I wonder how much of a wait before it stops working again

Worried about the water draining properly
There is water that doesn't completely drain out in the washer where the door seal is. It's not a lot, but if it sits long enough, it could cause some mold/mildue issues. There are only a few spots with holes for draining the water. Possibly a bad design. Will update after further use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
