Boho
Even though it has been popular for a few years, the boho look is still very trendy. Its key features are neutral colours and textures galore. We can create a cozy nest by going for a monochromatic ambiance with natural material accents such as cotton, wool, and wood.
Japandi
Japandi is another style that we’re seeing more and more. Influenced by both Japanese and Scandinavian looks, this trend is highly minimalist and linear. It features natural fibres, while adding the warmth and function of Scandinavian design.
Three trends come to mind:
When it comes to matching, simply choose complementary colours to breathe life into a room. If you feel daring, you can also create a gradient using these colours.

It’s not just the colours: the secret is in the accessories. The goal is to use the most textures and textiles possible to make the room cozy. For example, I love putting a big carpet under the bed to give the room a “luxury hotel” and cozy feel.
Wood also plays a major role in helping make the room feel warm. It’s therefore the material of choice when it comes to picking the furniture.
A bedroom requires three types of lighting:
Choosing quality curtains that match your needs is key. For the best sleep, go for opaque or even blackout curtains. Are you also using the room as an office? Pair them with sheer curtains to soften the sunlight and maintain some privacy throughout the day.
In addition to being decorative, a chest or ottoman at the foot of the bed has many uses. You can put your cushions on it when it’s time for bed, sit on it, or simply use it for additional storage.
Have lots of space in your bedroom? Add a cozy accent chair in the room, ideally near the window, pair it with a nice floor lamp, and there you have it: your brand-new reading and relaxing nook.
The more streamlined the space, the more functional it will be, making it easier to get around. For your bedroom to be an oasis of calm, make sure that all non-essentials are hidden behind a door or in drawers.
An organized wardrobe with a storage system tailored to your needs maximizes storage space and provides you with an overview of all your items and easy access to them.
