Horrible
I purchased this washer and the matching dryer 6 months ago. Repair people have been here 3 times. The motherboard and wiring harness of the washer blew out after one month. Took a month to fix because repair people could not diagnose the problem. After that the dryer stopped working. The drum fell off the rollers. After 3 months of use. I complain to Whirlpool, I complain to Lowe’s but they don’t care. Sure the CEO’s are playing golf laughing it up as to what suckers we are. Won’t ever buy Whirlpool again, or appliances from Lowe’s.

not as good as other models
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Our 4th Whirlpool washer in 16 years needed replacing (extended warranties). At the 1st month, to the exact date, of delivery, we had the repairman here to investigate the following details: spin cycles were very loud, shaking unit, and still wet at the end of the wash. He didn't do much, but he did say that blankets and bathmats should not be washed in this machine (hadn't done that yet), and not to use a full load. Wow. This means I can't really use the washer properly. True, it is quieter on a "medium" load. It is still very noisy on a small load. The clothes still don't come out damp, like all the previous washers. I now have to do laundry more often, and, as the repairman suggested, take my blankets/bath mats to a commercial laundrymat. So why did |I buy a new washer???

Does a decent job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my washer for 3 months now and it does a decent job. I find the door to be a bit thinner and feels very light and cheaply made compared to my older washer. I don’t like the way the drawer you add soap too doesn’t line up flush against the washer(see photo) but it’s just aesthetics. The washer does a good job washing clothes. My only complaint regarding washing is the quick modes do not rinse your clothes enough. If you need a quick wash and takes forever to dry then that doesn’t really get your clothes done any faster.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washing machine in June this year after my Whirlpool duet needed high cost repair. I am sorry I did not go ahead with the repair.
The new washer gets off balanced even if I placed the clothes evenly in the tub.
When it gets to the last spin and says one minute remaining, it has continued to spin up to 30 minutes which has been rough on my clothes. I have had to stop it manually. This has happened several times! I have had the repair person out twice. The control board was replaced and the washing machine balanced. Since then, The long spin cycle has occurred several times so the control board was not the answer.
It is extremely loud especially on spin. My Duet was not.
I have used Whirlpool appliances for many years and this is the first time I have been disappointed.

In general I like I.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to washer to replace a twelve year old washer that had less capacity and that had no quick wash cycle. While this machine has a nice quick wash cycle the regular cycles are much longer. I realize that this is to save energy, but it would be nice to have a medium length cycle too. All in all the machine washes well.- A negative is that the signal to indicate the end of a cycle is so soft it can’t be heard from most of my home. Customer service tells me the volume can’t be increased. Also you cannot open the soap drawer with the door to the tub open.’

Issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer is so-so, noisy and bounces. Base that Whirlpool matches online was ordered, did not fit. Tried to get tech support from Whirlpool, that did not help. Still trying to get satisfaction.

No words
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the machine no more than 4 times. Now, it does not start. I call the technical support; they send me to Appliance Canada. The technician came one hour late. He can not do anything because the drywer was on top, and he was (incredible) unable to move the dryer from the top of the washer! OMG. He just tested the machine from the front panel. He did not check the power connection! Every Service Manual recommends to do this first. Anyway, after three seconds of testing, he told me that a new front panel must be ordered. Bu he needs that someone else remove the dryer from top, for him to be able to work on the washer. Does it make sense?

Vibrates to much
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It seems to be a decent washer, but we find it vibrates to much. The warranty people think it's normal but we don't.
