can you use a full size propane tank with this grill.
Yes, in fact, I have never used a mini tank. You just need to buy an adapter hose. Lowes carries them.

I want to purchase a portable BBQ that i can remove the regulator from and add quick connect connections to connect to my trailers propane tanks.
There are many kits available at online stores to convert the Weber Q grills to hook up with your low pressure trailer connector. I have not seen any available from Lowes though.

Can these be hooked up to a gas outlet, or are they strictly propane tank?
YES !!! And it works great. Make sure to get the gauge that keeps you informed of the tank fuel. I really hated running out of gas before the meal was cooked. So the gauge is fantastic.

Do you carry the q 1200 drip tray
Is there a good bit of distance from the flame to the grill surface? My current grill is almost right on the burner so everything gets flamed and burned before it cooks, so that's my hesitation with portable grills.

Fantastic Compact Gas Grill
I own a spirit Weber for many years and it cooks wonderfully, but i needed a compact grill at my new house. I had a coleman portable grill but it does not perform near this beauty. My food cooks evenly and has beatiful char lines. It is practical with side tables and easier to clean, like the big grills it has a drip pan at the bottom. To complete the package I ended up with a fucsia color, but it is ok, i am girlie. I also purchased the griddle and i love to cook veggies on it. They come out crispy and taste amazing. You must get one, perfect for 2-6 people if cooking burgers and you can fit probably 12 Hot dogs or sausages.

Great Little Grill for the price
I grilled thick country style ribs that normally take several hours to fully cook, this little grill had them fully cooked, juicy and tender within an hour. I was really surprised at how fast it worked. The mounted thermometer helps you keep track of how hot the grill is and when it is ready for your choice of meat. I also grilled vegetables within minutes that were also tender and juicy. Neither item that I grilled turned out dry like so many other grills have in the past. Great Little Grill . I'm looking forward to taking this with me on our planned camping trips this summer, but I won't leave it unattended like the grills that I really don't care if someone steals!

Overall Grill
Honestly it is the best gas grill you can get if your looking for something small and that gets the job done. I bought this grill for my family (family of 4) and it is the perfect size, doesn’t take up much space at home, can be easily stored, fits perfectly in our Nissan Rogue, it’s easy to carry and lightweight. My wife loves to cook in it. We use it for just about any sort of cooking and food. Grill sits at home connected to a 20 lb. propane tank and when we head out to the beach or lake we take 2 1lb. propane tank. Definitely recommend it to everyone that’s looking for a gas grill. This Weber grill is the best choice when it comes to gas grills.

Great for couples and apartments
My wife and I are now empty nesters, and I no longer needed the feeds 20 Gas Grill I had before, we are also in-between homes at this time and in an apartment with a back covered deck. This small grill fits nicely in the 8'X4' desk on a small patio table, the heat off of it is minimal so no worrying about setting the place on fire, the cast iron grill and shell is sturdy and easy to maintain. We still get a good flavor from the grill as the cast iron surface sears nicely and the smoke from the drippings on to the grating is nice. This is worth the money for small area’s and cooking for one or two.

This little marvel is my new "Go To Grill"
Bought a Q1200 last year in Mesa. Have had a series of grills over the years that have performed OK. Each had drawbacks and it seemed like grilling on these grills was one compromise after another.
I think I've died and gone to grilling heaven since I got this wonderful grill. We bought it specifically to keep on our RV while traveling. But it is so fundamentally excellent it comes home with us and has replaced our Big Grill for everyday grilling. We grill about 200 days per year at least.
What a workhorse. Love it. Just the right size for two or four folks.
Great job Weber!
You continue to exceed our expectations.

Only used it once so far... but I like it!
Seems like the perfect grill. I did a lot of research before buying it..... and have always been a "charcoal" guy. ALL the research has told me that propane vs. charcoal doesn't really affect the flavor that much. I cooked burgers so far and they were excellent. I like the fact that it's small and I can take it camping or tailgating, don't have to mess with messy charcoal and charcoal lighter. Recently found out that I can even refill the one pound propane tanks using a special nozzle hooked to one of those big 20 lb. tanks which will be a huge money saver. So far, so good. I would recommend it to a friend. Kind of pricey but I think it will be a good investment over the long haul.....

Wanted small grill for deck
Wanted a quality, small basic grill without all the bells and whistles and this fit the bill perfectly. It is really too soon to say whether this will rot out in a year or two, but this is my first Weber and I can already tell the difference...so far, I am VERY pleased. Also purchased the stand - it suites my purpose, but don't expect it to hold a full size filled propane tank - too flimsy for the weight. You will need to place the tank directly on the patio/deck, which is no big deal as far as I am concerned. The converter hose is long enough so you can wheel the stand slightly away f/the house/railing, etc. (if need be) without having to move the propane tank itself.

Weber is top of the line
I owned the same full sized Weber LP Grill for 25+ years. It performed perfectly and Weber was always there for parts and support as needed. When I sold my house it went to the new owner. Now that I live full time in an RV it was time to downsize the grill. Based on how happy I was with the previous grill there was only one brand I wanted. The Q1200 is another example of quality and attention to detail. It has a lower BTU rating then I expected, but any concerns I had were quickly dispelled upon first use. This grill is used several times a week for two people and is exactly as advertized.
