Propane Gas BBQ - Genesis E-315 - 39,000 BTU - Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1506.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect After researching for several weeks prior to purchasing this grill, I finally committed and made the leap. I’m impressed with almost everything this grill has to offer, especially the burners and ignition system, which I had to tweak due to poor installation at the retailer. My biggest gripes about this grill is the cheap sheet metal used to conceal the tank and I don’t believe that the wheels are sturdy enough to support the weight of this grill. It’s surprisingly heavy. I feel as though if these two items were addressed, the grill would be perfect in every way. Overall I’m pleased with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If considering a different manufacturer, read this I questioned the price. I miss my charcoal grill. I bought a charbroil grill I had for about 8 years. It had a hot and a cold spot. This time I decided to spend the money on a Weber. I never used the side burner on the old grill so I opted out of that feature. I have had the grill for about 1 month. I have used it for pub burgers, steaks, pork chops, brats, hot dogs and arrachera. I have not found a hot spot. This grill with 3 burners has a great heating science to it. The housing is like an oven not a flimsy stainless cover, as Weber says, It’s designed to grill with the lid closed. Well worth the little extra for the even cooking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always Stick With Weber . The Best in the Business I bought this Weber Grill when I decided to move from Michigan to Florida recently. My other Weber Grill I had since 1993 mind you was still working like it did from day 1. I am a guy that takes care of Quality products. Before I moved I gave it to a friend. He loves it. So when I arrived in Florida I bought this one. It works like a champ. Heats up quickly and maintains even heat. Used it a dozen tones so far and could not be any happier. I prefer the cast iron grates this has just like my previous Weber had. This will be the last grill I ever buy. It should last me 30 years. American Made Weber. The Best in the Business.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not worth the extra money. I had a Weber Spirit E-310 that flared up while cooking steaks and burgers also when you bumped the burner knobs when it was off they would turn on and waste gas. I upgrade to the Genesis II E-315 and the flare up continues but if you bump the burner knobs when not using they don't torn on as easily as the Spirit E-310. The Spirit E-310 had all four wheels that swiveled and was easier to move around on a small patio. The Genesis II E-315 only has 2 wheels that swivel so it's more difficult to move around. The only positive on the Genesis II E-315 is that the propane bottle is on the outside of the grill and easier to change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I’m in the process of converting to thie E-315 gril. I’m replacing a 15 year old Weber Genesis series model grill. (Still works like day 1 but slowly needing more and more replacement parts) Everything is going well with the new E-315 model. It’s much bigger than my previous grill. I’ve only used the grill twice so I haven’t had the opportunity to try different cooking methods: burgers and Kabob. Food seems to want to stick to cast iron grates but I expect less sticking once the grates get seasoned. I’ll keep you posted if this improves. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worked great the first time. A pretty good grill faulted by bad parts and bad support. Assembly was easy enough and the first time we used it it worked amazingly well. I ran into an issue the very next week when the electric igniter failed to function and after following all of the troubleshooting steps including checking the wires and swapping out the battery I came to the conclusion that the module needed to be replaced. I've had a support ticket open with Weber for over a month and I still haven't gotten any support or help in getting a replacement part. It's a beautiful grill and works great when it works, its just unfortunate that the support and the part quality has been so shoddy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My last Genesis ll lasted 28 years! My last Weber was a Genesis ll and lasted 28 years. I would still be using it but the parts are no longer available! I saw this model and knew to was the replacement! Much bigger than my old one, but I like it a lot. Like the enclosed cabinet. Easier to keep my tools clean. Added the I-grill 3 and love how they work together! Awesome product! I highly recommend the Weber cover as I still have the original one for my old one. Outside the whole 28 years, rain and snow! Tired of buying a new grill every 2 years cause it falls apart? Invest in a Weber!!! Never had one problem or complaint in 28 years of ownership! Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite grill I purchased this grill to replace my older Genesis® II E-310 Gas Grill. It has newer features that I personally enjoy such as the lowering warming grill rack and the larger storage area. The warming grill rack lowers so that I can have a larger open grilling area. The propane tank is attached to the outside of the grill and opened up the storage area which is and upgrade from my E-310 which had less storage and propane tank in the same area. The only downfall so far is that the grill grates are very dry and need to be seasoned and used a few times before the meat stops sticking to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer service! My grill arrived with a small crack in the lid and a couple of bent shelves; I assume that it was dropped in shipping. Not good for an expensive grill! I contacted Weber customer service; they were very good - friendly, empathetic, and agreed to send me a new lid immediately. It arrived in a couple of weeks. Once it arrived, I put together the grill together...it wasn't really too hard and the instructions and BITL app were good. I am very mechanically inclined, but it STILL took 3 hours. The hardest part was actually fitting the new lid. Once it was all together, though, it worked perfectly and I am enjoying the grill every chance I get. Recommend Weber highly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grill I've owned hands down! Best grill I've owned hands down. I've owned several Charbroil and other less expensive consumer grade grills and they all got the job done but didn't last but a few years. I've only owned this Weber grill for about a month but I can tell it's built with higher grade materials and seems like it will last. I was sold on other reviews and word of mouth. The ten year full parts warranty is a great bonus! The cooking experience is much better than I've experienced on my past grills as well. Nice even heat across the grilling surface and no flare ups! Weber grills do carry a higher price tag but I do feel like it's definitely a situation where you get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great so far! I had a 28 year old Weber grill that was still operating but needed some work so I opted to buy a new one. The first thing that I noticed was the construction which is clearly excellent and a significant increase over the one I owned for 28 years. I expect this one to outlive that one based on the construction. Fired it up first time and loved it. The best thing was the how even the heating across the entire grill. My older grill was poor in that regard. I am very pleased with my purchase. Definitely recommended. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality that lasts I have the 2008 model with he knobs on the side shelve. 12 years old and still grills like a champ. I have done Turkeys, full roasts, chicken, salmon, you name it. Previous to purchasing the Weber, I would go through a Grill every 2-3 years. Just got tired of buying cheap Grills. Bought on e for my Dad 4 years ago and he is just blown away by the Weber quality and durability. I have told family and friends to make it their next grill. Some do not and go through a couple of cheap grills realize my is still going strong, finally come around and buy one. Do yourselves a favour and buy one, you will never regret it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lighting Can Be Tricky After 20 years with my old Weber Gas grill, I bought a new Weber-Genesis II E-315. I had a bit of a learning curve with the new grilling technology, but getting more accustom to it and the grill really cooks well. The only real issues I have is it can be hard to light in the slightest bit of wind, and I really miss the ability to just fire it up with my trusty 'click lighter'. There no holes in frame for easy access for lighting the grill. If you can't light the grill with the battery operated lighting mechanism, you have to light with a match clipped to a metal stick that you then have to insert through the grates to light the grill. Try doing that on a winding day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the Genesis I This new grill works better than the previous one (mostly). the heat is more even. It is easier to light. there are a few things that are not as good. The rotisserie is lower and I have to remove the flavorizer bars and the center burner cover to get enough room. The shelves are aluminum instead of stainless steel - the BBQ light magnets don't hold. This grill is a lot hotter and I have to turn it way down to grill the way I like to. Over all this is a great grill. I don't regret buying it. As an aside, the new Weber cover is better than the previous generation. It seems stronger and goes on easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great grill except hard to light We’ve had a Weber Silver B for 18 years and loved it. We figured it was time to splurge on a new one as the old one was getting so coated, it was difficult to clean. I want to love our new grill just as much but I am frustrated with the way it lights. The igniter is hit or miss. When it doesn’t light the second and third burners, we are fine with using a hand held lighter (did this with our old one for years). But this model does not have an access hole so we have to use a long stick lit with a flame to get those burners going. Total pain. It runs fine and is beautiful but I wish it would light more consistently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality - Even Cooking I bought this Weber Genesis II right before the 4th of July. Saw lots of other cheaper grills and was close to buying one. I'm glad I didn't. This grill cooks great. The food is evenly cooked at a constant temperature. The best part is that there are no flare-ups. As soon as any grease hits the panels below, any flames disappear right away. My only issue with this grill is that I have trouble browning meat. It cooks very evenly but does not brown to that nice crisp color I've had before. So what I've been doing is putting the meat under the oven broiler for the last 5 minutes and I'm good. Hopefully someone can tell me other ways to brown meat on the grill itself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just another grill I had to mod many parts to make fit. Holes dont line up. Some things were bent and welded wrong so i actually had to saw a piece to fit. Some would say send it back. The amount of hassle to do that after you un-packed a 200lb box. Forget it. I have a shop and made do with it. But im terribly disappointed in the quality for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Grill This grill replaces the Weber Genesis that I owned for 30 years (yes, 30 years!) and used at least weekly in warm weather. Even though the old grill still worked, the new Genesis II E-315 has a lot of new features over the old. The burners heat and cook much hotter and cook more evenly than the old model. I use the iGrill 3 temperature sensor for just the right doneness every time. I like the enclosed cabinet for storage and keeping animals out of the drip pan. And I actually prefer the heavy cast iron grate over the lighter stainless steel. This is a great grill and I look forward to using it for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Grill! I love the Weber brand. They are the most reliable grills. This is one no exception. It's the perfect size, has new features which indicate how much propane is left in the tank and has a great igniter. I actually opted for the grill without the burner because we don't use it and without it, we have more space for prep and utensils. Cannot recommend this grill enough! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weber what's not to like!! I owned a Char Broil commercial grill for about 12 years for the most part it did what it was supposed to do. It was getting old and I decided it was time to purchase a new grill. I always wanted a Weber but they were so pricey$$$ I told myself I'm not getting any younger I love to grill what the heck. So I told the wife I'm doing it... I'm so glad I did. What a difference. I know it's been 12 years and technology changes. But Wow!! The evenness of cooking, My cooking times has shortened. Plus when I pull off the cover, that color copper it brings a smile to my face. I highly recommend it you won't regret.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Joke, totally worth the money I had an old none weber grill for 10 years and saved up lately to finally get this grill. Couldn't be happier. Grilling is spot on and I got a few of the accessories to add some tech to the process which work great too. (bluetooth probes) I love being able to cook steaks at 500 plus degrees and not have to deal with flare ups. The grill handles grease like a champ. Even 10 chicken legs didn't have me reaching for the spray bottom. Lastly, the assembling process was a cake walk. It is nice to build something which goes together some effortlessly and everything lined up! Way to be Weber, great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 months in and it is a Game Changer!! I absolutely love this grill. I didn’t know what I was missing all these years. I have used it no less than 5 times a week since I assembled it. Purchased a stainless still griddle and made breakfast on it numerous times. Purchased a pizza stone and used it multiple times, 8 minutes to the perfect NY style pie. Grilled veggies, chicken kabobs, burgers, steaks, pork tenderloin... all cooked to perfection. Use the app for guidelines as it is hotter than any other grill I have owned. Will remain loyal to Weber grills from now on, also have a small Weber charcoal kettle grill for parks and camping. Love it!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Quality Grill I’ve had a Genesis Platinum C since 2005 and wanted a new one but could not justify it since the 15 year old grill was still operating like new. Fortunately the wife said we should give it to our daughter and green-lighted me to update. In true Weber fashion the new one is superb. Even heating throughout the grill and no flare ups thanks to the functional flavor bars and grease management system. I’ve got the copper colored one which makes a bold statement on the patio compared to traditional black. Well done Weber and hopefully this one will last 15+ years like the first one did and still running strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Grill! Retired my last Weber after 11 years & recently purchased the Genesis II E-315 Gas Grill. I did not need side burners & chose this based on performance and it really does exceed my expectations with performance. Heat zones are quite consistent, top rack is great to finish grilled chicken to temp or a really thick steak. My only regret so far and that is minimal; loved the way I got plate and picture worthy marks with my prior grills stainless steel grate. But still adjusting to the cast iron, so far the grill marks are thicker and not as visually appealing. But really this grill rocks; Thanks Weber!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Design, But Build Quality Lacking Excellent design and great grilling. Too bad the build quality is bit lacking. The BBQ was DOA because of a bad gas regulator. Weber did send a replacement free of charge, but none of my wrenches fit because my car and motorcycle use metric; Weber apparently is SAE (I had to buy wrenches that I will never use outside of replacing bad gas regulators). After researching Weber regulator problems, it appears that the Chinese manufactured regulators create problems that are not so uncommon to Weber BBQs and can be ongoing for the life of the BBQ. Also, I have to move the BBQ in and out of my garage to cook. After about five trips the large wheels are a bit askew--moving a 150 lbs. or so without wheels is going to end my happy grilling days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grill This is my second Weber Genesis grill. Last one was stainless steel with side and sear burner. Went with 3 burner version this time as never used the side or sear. Very easy to put together and the free BILT app made it even easier- only complaint was the cheap plastic pins provided to attach metal panels on each side of the gas tank. Would fall off at slightest vibration so used my own nuts and bolts to attach. Seems to heat evenly but runs hotter than prior grill even on lowest setting. Will never buy anything other than a Weber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good grill with excellent, even heating. We've had this grill for two months now, and it has been great. The best part is the heat management. There are almost no cool spots in the grill, which makes managing heat by using the controllers very easy to do. It also heats to grill-temperature very quickly with all burners on high. The grill-box, base and table-sides are quite sturdy, although I think the wheels could be a bit more solid, but that may be more perception than reality. Assembly was well documented and easy to complete. It would be nice if they would flip the direction of the upper shelf wires, as they run side-to side, which makes using a flipper a bit tricky, as you have to come under the food from the side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Discoloration Bbq is very nice. However the sticker they put on the lid left a discoloration mark upon removal. Very annoying for an expensive bbq.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic grill for a novice I bought this grill days before a Labor Day BBQ at my house. Assembly was straight forward and very easy. Quick tip use a drill and it speed up the assembly process. Once I fired up the Weber Genesis II and the food started hitting the table everyone positively commented on how juicy and flavorful the food was. See I admit to being a novice and I’ve cooked previously on my 10 year old Charbroil charcoal grill and often had flare ups and uneven cooking spots resulting in dried charred food which was annoying. Plus cooking constantly needed my attention. But cooking on my new genesis II with the igrill meat probes made our BBQ both easy and quick. My wife and I love this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality LP grill.
