Wagner Paint Gun - Power Paint is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor consumer product! Sprayed fairly well at first. Before I completed my first project it began leaking. I checked everything over to make sure nothing had became loose or needed adjustment. It continued to leak. I stopped and "thoroughly" cleaned the unit as per instructions. Did not help. I have disassemled and cleaned and recleaned numerous times but everytime I try to use it it makes a mess and leaks all over. It was taking more time to clean the sprayer and clean up the mess than it would to just paint manually with a brush. By the time I decided this product was worthless the warranty had run out. My loss and yours. Will not buy another or recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hard at first, then great to use Like many others, I had problems at first using the spayer. It worked fine the first day, then the spray started clumping up and spitting out the second day (I used the backpack). After reading the directions agian, very carefully, I found some things I missed: 1. clean everything, and take the piston out and clean it too 2. put oil in just like it says 3. Keep the breather hole clear - clean it with a pin 4. Use short bursts of power -- about 3 seconds and then stop. Then three seconds again and so on. that stops the engine from overheating, the stops the piston seizeing. After I figured that out, it worked GREAT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get out of it what you put in. I have read a lot of these reviews and compared them to my personal experience with the product I have to say it does the job very well. You need to understand your not just grabbing this tool off the shelf and loading it up with paint and shooting. Preparation is just as important (actually more important) then actually painting. Hot water and soap makes for an easy clean up. The device comes apart in a very logical manner and goes back together the same way. The coverage is great and yes you will get a quick splatter when you reach the end of the tank. But guess what, take your finger off the trigger, get a brush and wipe it. Not the end of the world. It dries without any difference of the rest of the piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First time User Okay, so I am female. This was not the easiest project I have undertaken. Yes, after several tries and lots of reading, I finally got it to work. The spray is something one has to master....overall, I think it was okay. After washing - taking all the parts apart, I had to read and figure out how to put Humpty Dumpty together again. I pray it works the next time I use it.....For me, it was somewhat frustrating, but again, stereotyping here, I am truly a girly female. Overall, it was an okay experience. For someone who knows how to do these things, I am sure it would be excellent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 times wasn't a charm Today I wore out my 3rd Wagner Power Painter/Sprayer. The first one lasted me years and served me very well. The second and third one, total waste of money. At least the second one worked for a couple of weeks staining my fence. Today #3, brand new, out of the box and it only sprayed 30 feet of a 6' tall wood fence. 30' feet, maybe 45 minutes of use. After that, I had to take the entire thing apart, clean and oil it before it would work again - for 5 minutes. Next time I had to refill, it stopped working again. After doing the cleaning thing 4 times, I gave up and got out the roller. I was spending much more time trying to make it spray than actually spraying. To be fair, when it worked, it worked GREAT. Unfortunately, I purchased this right after Christmas so I can't return it. I won't be purchasing anything from Wagner going forward.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a mess I used this product for a project large enough that I had to fill the canister several times. The lock on the canister is really hard to use with one hand. The paint cup is way too small. The coverage per full paint cup is way too small. Based on paint consumption I am convinced that the sparayer put more paint in the air than on the walls. It's loud, really messy if you have to refill the paint cup and contiue painting. The horizontal/vertical spray control is backwards. The coverage is terrible. It took me an hour to get the sprayer clean. My guess is that the people that designed this never actually used it. I will finish the job with a paint roller.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1st time using it Purchased the sprayer to paint over popcorn ceiling. It worked fine initially but after I refilled the container, it stopped spraying. I had to keep clicking the on/off trigger to finish the most of the room (10ft by 11ft) and then it stopped completely. I cleaned it and tried to make sure all internal areas were paint free. I tried spraying with just soapy water to see it worked and nothing came out. I finished the rest of the ceiling with rollers. Again, it was the 1st time for me and I tried to follow the instructions step by step but it stopped working. I returned it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks, sputters,a real mess Bought sprayer thinking I could save some time.I needed to paint the entire inside and outside of a house I just remodeled,Gun worked about 45 seconds before it splatterd paint all over my new windows. Then the gun leaked all over my hand. After making sure everything was tight I tried the hose directly from the can,It leaked terrible.Made a real mess of everthing. I did not even bother to clean gun. By this time my co-worker had already finished rolling the other bedroom.Would not recomend this gun
