Pretty Good, especially for the price!
Bought this because of 4 reasons: 1) lower profile design relative to the alternative other model available at Lowes, 2) Handle is same colour as cover as opposed to the alternative model where handle is red, and 3) price! This switch includes cover and switch where the alternative is the same price but for the cover only! 4) This cover is metal and the other is plastic (PVC). I much prefer metal for outdoor plates because when you tighten the screws to compress the gasket it does not flex nearly as much as PVC which provides a much better water-tight seal against the gasket. With 4 screws (in each corner) this would be less of a concern but with only 2, there would be a good amount of flex and potentially bow the cover away from the gasket if this were PVC and not metal.
The previous reviewer that complained about the switch being loose and not able to use a standard switch is incorrect. S/he has s/he assembled it wrong. Yes, the switch attaches to the cover plate (not the box), but it comes with 2 brass spacers (look like hollow rivets) and screws that prevent the problem s/he describes. And yes, you can use a standard toggle style switch as well instead of the included one, but you will need to still use these brass spacers.
I only have 2 complaints about this switch cover. 1) Would be nice to have holes to attach to the box on the 4 corners instead of the two above/below the switch as it would make for a better seal, particularly outdoors. Outdoor boxes (both PVC and metal) all have tapped holes in the 4 corners so this cover should take advantage of that. 2) The mechanical piece that goes through the cover (shaft) to toggle the switch appears to be low-quality and may not last. Only time will tell, it's fine now and has been for a few weeks of periodic use so maybe I'm wrong and it's more durable than it appears. These 2 "complaints" are the only reason for deducting 1 star.

BAD DESIGN - Unusable
Switch has to mount to the cover and the cover is screwed to the box. Because the toggle sticks out too far, you cannot tighten the screws holding it to the cover, so it is loose. The cover has such a low profile, you cannot use a normal switch and have the cover get anywhere close to sealing tight against the box. Went back a bought a cover that has a deeper profile.

Outdoor light switch
This is the second switch like this that I have purchased. I use them on the outdoor security lights. Having dusk to dawn lights are great but I really like to have the option to turn them off for times of stargazing, our night time cookouts etc.. This switch has held up well and performs like a light switch should.
