Does the XB-FTC1 cut better if water is used to cool the cut and also keep the dust down? Is water a problem with using this bit?

Tile Bit - 1/4" is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fairly Skookum I used this for some curved cuts in large format porcelain floor tiles it chuched pretty good. I used the bit in a larger wood router (2hp porter cable 891) @ 23,000 ripems. Even with the larger more skookum tool it took some time to make the cuts. I cut slow and occasionally sprayed some water because it generates a lot of heat on the bit. The manufacturer says not to use water but I'd worry about the bit overheating and not lasting very long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used on 3cm granite This worked well with a Rotozip for enlarging several holes for rough in valves in granite slab tub deck. Other bits I tried just got hot and wasted time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for enlarging hole I used this bit to enlarge a hole in a granite counter top for a faucet. I used it with a router and it worked perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It did the job I had been trying to enlarge a hole for a soap dispenser (Granite) with various drill attachment grinders and none did the job. This bit was expensive and I thought would only work on a rotor style cutting tool. I grabbed my Sears version rotozip tool but the shank on the bit was too large. So I used an wireless drill and got to work. Using the up and down method I finally got the hole enlarged enough to slide the new soap dispenser in place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as effective as expected I needed to create 1/4 holes in porcelain wall tiles. The bit is rated for use with porcelain but I found that it did not do well creating the initial hole. Once a hole through the tile was created that hole could be enlarged by this bit. The tip does not appear to have enough abrasive to make the initial hole. It would be good for enlarging existing holes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cutting bit rocks Needed to widen hole for bathroom facet on a stone counter top. Nice a accessory for roto zip tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent cutting bit I used this rotozip bit for cutting the bathtub acrylic board. (I am installing a whirlpool in place of the tub. Had to make some modifications for the new faucet) Easy to use and cut through the board without a problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TOTALLY USELESS! Tried to use this on a big tile job I was doing. I needed to cut a 12" porcelain tile for the toilet drain, shower mixer valve and the shower arm. Thought it was too much for one bit but figured it would do all three very easily, so it would be worth it. Following the instructions I tried two different cuts, spending over 1/2 an hour on each and was never able to make it through a tile, much less cut a hole. Ended up using the tile saw for the bigger holes since they were pretty much hidden. Purchased a diamond hole saw that cut through the tile like butter. Attached image is where I was barely able to make a dimple in the tile with the X-Bit and then punched right through with the tile hole saw.
