T12 2-Pin 48" Fluorescent Tube - 2-Pack - Cool White is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sylvania 34 watt T12 size 4 foot fluorescent tubes I have at least 18 2 tube T12 fixtures in my basement and garage areas so I was tempted to try the Sylvania 34 watt version of these fluorescents which would save12 watts per fixture. The first tube out of the package was a dud. No matter how I tried, even reverse the tube, it didn't make contact. The second tube flickered rapidly with a pale redish-orange glow. Since this was above my computer and work station I moved it to a fixture in my workshop. Then I put a third tube in above my work station and was rewarded with the warm glow I expected. However the light output was less than half of the 40 watt tube. My experience with these bulbs hasn't been good and I cannot recommend them. However I have bought T8 bulbs and fixtures and mine have decent output from Phillips 32 watt bulbs. I will stick with these for energy savings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lowes makes it easy and always has the inventory Bought 2 sets for my four bulb recessed fixture and are they great. The best 12 bucks I ever spent. Four 40 watt bulbs were too bright for my office but these give my aging eyes just the right amount of soft light. Installation was easy. Most folks don't know about the cutouts in the side of a recessed fixture that is used to insert the pins allowing the other pins to clear the fixture. Once in the upper channel you just insert the pins straight up in the receptacle channels and turn 180 degrees. Took less than 5 minutes to install all 4.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Affordable, but lacks the brightness and performance a true 40 watt cw bulb. One bulb worked out of the pack - the other did not . It is difficult to find a true 40 watt bulb in this style as the industry has moved toward the T-8 bulbs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from defective bulbs I purchased 2 twin pack of bulbs and 1 set was bad, the bulbs would not fully light up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returning Not Enough Light Today I purchased 2 / 40W bulbs and a new ballast for my kitchen light fixture and replaced the bulbs that were for my wife and I not bright enough. The former bulbs were 40 W and I didn't see them the first time I went to get bulbs. I am sure the worn out ballast didn't help any either

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fluorescent Tube Fluorescent tubes have been around for over 100 years, and are eventually going to completely eliminate incandescent bulbs altogether. So why do they still cost about $5 per bulb and only last about a year before they quit working?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Had to exchange two sets of these! The best I'll say about these is that you need to inspect the bulbs carefully. The first two-pack that I bought had apparently been dropped on the end of the package, somewhere along the way, as when I got them home to install, I noticed that the end that had been on the "floor" of the package in the store had been dented in. So, exchange. The next set, after again getting them home, had a hairline crack in one of the tubes that was only evident when installed. The third set worked fine, but it wasn't easy getting a good set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little too long Had to replace bulbs in a fixture in my garage. I don't know whether the fixture was not standard or these bulbs but they would not fit with any amount of cussing, twisting or gyrating. Rather than return them I grabbed a pair of wire cutters and nipped a few millimeters of the metal contacts on either end of the bulbs. They fit really tight now and are bright and working well. This was both bulbs so again it may be the fixture and not the bulbs (unless it is the bulbs) so I give it a 4.
